The Time of Day report on the Time tab of Reports breaks your results into time buckets so you can see which parts of the session make or lose money. It uses each trade's start time and lets you switch between 5m, 15m, and 60m buckets (default 15m).
Open Reports from the left sidebar, go to the Time tab, and scroll to the Time of Day section. Set filters at the top first (date range, accounts, tags, symbol, sides, asset types, and statuses) so the report answers one question at a time. For how filters work, see Reports Filters.
Choose a bucket size
Use the Time of day bucket size control to group trades by start time.
- On the Time tab, find the Time of Day section.
- Pick 5m, 15m, or 60m.
Each bucket is named by its start time in H:MM format (for example 9:00, 9:15, or 13:00). Only buckets that contain at least one trade are shown.
Read the results
The section shows a P&L Performance bar chart and a Trade Frequency panel. Hover a bar to see the bucket name, its P&L, trade count, and win percentage. Toggle the frequency panel between Donut Chart and Table View. The table lists each bucket's Name, Trades, and % share of total trades, ranked by trade count.
Compare the strongest bucket to your weakest. If your best P&L clusters in a narrow window, that is the part of the day your setup works best in. A losing window may point to overtrading or a time you should stop.
For the other sections on the Time tab (Trades Per Day, Shares Traded Per Day, Day of Week, Month of Year, and Intraday Duration), see the Glossary: what every metric in the Report means.
