Which is the better fit?
Consider Tradeify
Tradeify is a real operating futures prop trading business, and for most traders considering the firm, the Select Evaluation is its strongest account option. Tradeify combines one-time account pricing, no activation fees, end-of-day trailing drawdown and a 90/10 profit split at the simulated funded stage. The main catches are its detailed payout rules, the fact that most “funded” accounts initially use simulated rather than live capital, and a drawdown floor that is updated at the end of the day but enforced in real time.
Consider Take Profit Trader
Take Profit Trader is particularly strong for disciplined futures day traders who prioritise frequent withdrawals. It is a poor fit for traders who depend on automated bots, overnight positions, hedging between correlated contracts or trading through major economic news releases once funded.

Which should you fund?
Tradeify is the better choice than Take Profit Trader for most futures traders in 2026. Tradeify wins on funded-account profit split, one-time evaluation pricing and, most importantly, keeping an end-of-day trailing drawdown on its Select funded accounts.
Take Profit Trader is better for traders who prioritise fast, unrestricted withdrawals above the required buffer. Its PRO account allows withdrawals from day one once the buffer has been built, without a fixed payout window or maximum withdrawal above that buffer. The trade-off is an 80% profit split and a tougher intraday trailing drawdown once you reach PRO.

Tradeify's current pricing reference lists the 50K Select account at $165 as a one-time purchase with no recurring billing or activation fee. Take Profit Trader's 50K Test is currently listed at approximately $170 per month, while Take Profit Trader separately charges a $130 one-time fee for the PRO account after passing. Promotions can change either firm's effective purchase price, so the comparison above uses standard pricing rather than temporary discount codes.
Why Tradeify beats Take Profit Trader overall
There are three major advantages.
First, Tradeify Select funded accounts use an end-of-day trailing drawdown. The drawdown is enforced in real time, but its floor only moves based on the end-of-day balance. Take Profit Trader changes the rules after the evaluation: its Test uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown, but its PRO account switches to an intraday trailing drawdown based on realised and unrealised peak balance.
Second, Tradeify pays traders 90% on Select Sim Funded accounts, compared with 80% on Take Profit Trader PRO accounts. Take Profit Trader increases the split to 90% if a trader progresses to its live PRO+ stage.
Third, Tradeify evaluations are now one-time purchases. A trader can take longer to complete a Select evaluation without another monthly evaluation charge. Take Profit Trader continues charging its Test subscription monthly until the trader passes or cancels.
Those differences matter more than headline account size. A nominal “$50K funded account” is only useful if its drawdown rules allow your strategy to survive long enough to withdraw profits.
The biggest difference is the funded drawdown
On a Tradeify 50K Select Flex account, the maximum drawdown is $2,000 and uses an end-of-day trailing calculation. Intraday unrealised profit does not cause the drawdown floor to ratchet upwards. Once the relevant threshold is reached, the funded drawdown eventually locks at $50,100.
Take Profit Trader PRO works differently. The $2,000 drawdown on a 50K PRO account trails the account's intraday peak balance, including unrealised gains. The floor stops moving once it reaches the original starting balance.
Consider a simple example.
A Take Profit Trader PRO trade moves $1,500 into unrealised profit before reversing. Even if the trader never banks the $1,500, that unrealised peak can move the trailing drawdown higher. Giving back the open profit therefore consumes real drawdown room.
With Tradeify Select Flex, that same intraday high does not itself ratchet the drawdown upward because Tradeify recalculates the trailing level from the end-of-day balance.
For traders who let profitable futures trades breathe before exiting, this is a substantial difference. Tradeify's EOD model is considerably more forgiving of normal intraday equity fluctuations.
Which evaluation is easier to pass?
Both current 50K programmes require a $3,000 profit target, provide a $2,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown and can be completed in a minimum of three trading days. Neither standard evaluation has a daily loss limit.
The important differences are consistency and position size.
Tradeify Select uses a 40% consistency requirement, meaning the trader's largest profitable day cannot represent more than 40% of total net profit when qualifying. Tradeify sells an optional 50% consistency add-on.
Take Profit Trader uses a 50% consistency rule. If the largest day is above 50% of total net profit, the account does not immediately fail. The trader simply needs to continue generating profit until the largest day falls below the required percentage.
Take Profit Trader also allows more size on the comparable 50K evaluation, with six mini contracts versus four on Tradeify Select.
So if the only question were “Which 50K evaluation is easier to pass?”, Take Profit Trader has a small edge.
The problem is that passing an evaluation is not the commercial objective. Getting paid repeatedly without blowing the funded account is. On that test, Tradeify becomes more attractive.
Tradeify vs Take Profit Trader pricing
The standard Tradeify Select 50K evaluation costs $165 once. Take Profit Trader's 50K evaluation is currently listed at around $170 per month, and Take Profit Trader charges a $130 PRO activation fee after passing.
Using list prices and excluding promotions:
Pass during first month
- Tradeify Select 50K
- $165
- Take Profit Trader 50K
- About $300 including PRO fee
Pass during second month
- Tradeify Select 50K
- $165
- Take Profit Trader 50K
- About $470 including PRO fee
Pass during third month
- Tradeify Select 50K
- $165
- Take Profit Trader 50K
- About $640 including PRO fee
| Scenario | Tradeify Select 50K | Take Profit Trader 50K |
|---|---|---|
| Pass during first month | $165 | About $300 including PRO fee |
| Pass during second month | $165 | About $470 including PRO fee |
| Pass during third month | $165 | About $640 including PRO fee |
A trader who takes three months to pass therefore spends roughly 3.9 times as much on the Take Profit Trader route before resets, commissions or promotional discounts are considered.
Take Profit Trader frequently runs discounts, so actual checkout cost can be lower. That does not change the structural distinction: Tradeify sells the evaluation once, while Take Profit Trader sells access by subscription.
Which firm has better payouts?
This is the strongest reason to choose Take Profit Trader.
Take Profit Trader PRO payouts
A 50K Take Profit Trader PRO account requires the trader to build a $2,000 buffer, taking the account to $52,000.
Once the buffer is reached, Take Profit Trader allows withdrawals from profits above that level from day one. There is no required number of profitable days and Take Profit Trader states that there is no maximum withdrawal on profits above the buffer. The trader receives 80%.
The buffer itself needs more explanation.
Take Profit Trader allows a trader to access profit inside the buffer only when terminating the PRO account. The published split on that buffer is 50% when the account has been traded for 60 trading days or fewer and 80% after more than 60 trading days.
Tradeify Select Flex payouts
Tradeify Select Flex does not require a payout buffer. A trader qualifies after five winning days. For a 50K account, each qualifying winning day currently requires at least $150 profit.
For Select accounts purchased after September 1, 2026, the trader can request up to 50% of total accumulated profits, capped at $2,500 per payout on the 50K account. Tradeify pays 90% of the approved payout.
Tradeify Select Daily payouts
Tradeify Select Daily offers daily payout eligibility but introduces a $2,100 buffer and a $1,000 daily loss limit on the 50K funded account.
For 50K Select Daily accounts purchased after September 1, 2026, requests are limited by the firm's continuity calculation and capped at $1,250 per payout. The trader keeps 90%.
The result is straightforward:
Choose Take Profit Trader if extracting large profits as quickly as possible is more important than drawdown flexibility or profit split. Choose Tradeify if protecting the funded account and retaining 90% of approved payouts matters more than unlimited withdrawal size.
Tradeify is better for news traders
Tradeify explicitly states that it has no restrictions around news trading. FOMC, CPI, Non-Farm Payrolls and other releases can be traded, although Tradeify warns traders about increased volatility and slippage.
Take Profit Trader permits news trading during the Test, but PRO accounts must have no open positions or working orders one minute before, during and one minute after specified prohibited releases. Its published list includes FOMC statements, Non-Farm Payrolls and CPI, plus instrument-specific restrictions such as crude oil inventories.
A strategy built specifically around high-impact economic releases therefore fits Tradeify substantially better.
Tradeify is also better for algorithmic traders
Tradeify requires the trader to prove sole ownership where requested, prohibits sharing the strategy with other traders or firms and bans high-frequency trading bots.
Take Profit Trader states that PRO trades must be manually executed and that automated or bot trading is not allowed.
For genuinely automated futures strategies, that distinction can decide the comparison before pricing or payouts even enter the equation.
Can you hold trades overnight with Tradeify or Take Profit Trader?
Tradeify permits a position to remain open through the overnight Globex portion of the same trading session, but all positions must be closed by 4:45 PM Eastern before the daily maintenance break. Positions cannot be carried across the daily close or over a weekend.
Take Profit Trader uses a similar day-trading model. Futures positions can be opened from 6 PM Eastern but must be closed before the next trading day's 5 PM Eastern end, with Take Profit Trader automatically closing remaining positions at 4:55 PM.
Neither firm is therefore designed for multi-day swing futures strategies.
When Take Profit Trader is the better choice
Take Profit Trader is the better option when your priorities look like this:
- You want withdrawals available immediately after clearing the PRO buffer.
- You dislike fixed payout windows and payout caps.
- Your strategy closes winners cleanly rather than allowing large unrealised profits to retrace.
- You are comfortable with an intraday trailing drawdown.
- You trade manually.
- You do not depend on holding positions through restricted economic releases.
- You value the eventual PRO+ route, where Take Profit Trader provides live execution, a 90/10 split, EOD drawdown and no buffer requirement.
Take Profit Trader is not a bad proposition. Its payout model is genuinely one of its strongest features. The problem is that the PRO drawdown structure makes protecting the funded account harder than the evaluation may lead traders to expect.
When Tradeify is the better choice
Tradeify is the stronger option when you care more about:
- A one-time evaluation fee rather than recurring billing.
- A 90% standard Sim Funded profit split.
- End-of-day rather than intraday trailing drawdown.
- Unrestricted news trading.
- The ability to use a personally owned algorithm within Tradeify's rules.
- Choosing between frequent Daily payouts and the more flexible Select Flex account after passing.
- Avoiding an additional funded-account activation fee.
Tradeify Select is particularly strong for traders whose strategies regularly show substantial open profit before closing. Those traders are disproportionately exposed to Take Profit Trader's intraday PRO drawdown.
Tradeify vs Take Profit Trader: final verdict
The two firms are quite close during the evaluation phase. On a 50K account, both currently use a $3,000 target, $2,000 EOD trailing drawdown, no evaluation daily loss limit and a three-day minimum.
The meaningful separation happens after you pass.
Tradeify Select keeps an end-of-day drawdown and pays a 90% split. Take Profit Trader PRO switches to an intraday trailing drawdown and pays 80%. Tradeify also uses one-time evaluation pricing rather than an ongoing subscription.
Overall winner: Tradeify.
Best for fast, uncapped withdrawals above a buffer: Take Profit Trader.
Best for funded-account survivability: Tradeify Select Flex.
Best for news trading: Tradeify.
Best for algorithmic trading: Tradeify.
Best evaluation rules alone: Take Profit Trader by a narrow margin.
If your actual objective is to make repeated withdrawals rather than merely collect passed-account screenshots, the funded-stage rules deserve more weight than the challenge itself. On that basis, Tradeify offers the stronger overall package.
Futures prop firms change account terms frequently, so confirm the current programme rules before purchasing an evaluation.
