Which is the better fit?

Consider Take Profit Trader

Take Profit Trader is particularly strong for disciplined futures day traders who prioritise frequent withdrawals. It is a poor fit for traders who depend on automated bots, overnight positions, hedging between correlated contracts or trading through major economic news releases once funded.

Consider My Funded Futures

My Funded Futures is one of the stronger futures prop firm options in 2026 if your priorities are fast payouts, no activation fee and a choice between different drawdown structures. The Rapid plan is the standout for active traders because it offers daily payout eligibility, a 90/10 profit split and no consistency rule once you reach the simulated funded stage.

Which should you fund?

MyFundedFutures is the better choice than Take Profit Trader for most futures traders in 2026. Its Rapid plan gives traders a 90/10 profit split, daily payouts, a two-day minimum evaluation, no activation fee and one-time evaluation pricing rather than a recurring monthly test subscription. Take Profit Trader is still the better fit if uncapped day-one withdrawal eligibility and funded-account reset flexibility matter more to you.

For the closest apples-to-apples comparison, this guide compares the MyFundedFutures Rapid $50K account with the Take Profit Trader $50K evaluation and PRO account.

The difference is not huge in the evaluation itself. Both firms use a $3,000 profit target, a $2,000 end-of-day evaluation drawdown, no daily loss limit and a 50% evaluation consistency requirement. The bigger differences appear after you pass.

Overall winner: MyFundedFutures.

MyFundedFutures wins more of the criteria that directly affect the economics of getting funded and keeping the money you make. Take Profit Trader wins on immediate withdrawal flexibility and gives slightly more contract capacity on the $50K evaluation.

Why MyFundedFutures wins overall

The strongest argument for MyFundedFutures is not one isolated feature. It is the combination of lower all-in friction, a better profit split and a faster evaluation path.

Using the current non-promotional prices displayed for the $50K accounts, a trader who passes on the first attempt would pay approximately $209 for MyFundedFutures Rapid versus $300 for Take Profit Trader, made up of TPT's $170 monthly evaluation fee plus its $130 PRO activation fee. That is a $91 difference before considering any additional TPT monthly rebills.

Promotional codes can substantially alter those numbers, so it would be a mistake to choose either firm purely because one happens to be running a 40% or 50% sale this week. Compare the underlying programme economics first.

MyFundedFutures Rapid also pays a 90/10 split from the simulated funded stage, whereas Take Profit Trader pays 80/20 in PRO. TPT's 90/10 split applies to PRO+, its live-market tier.

On $10,000 of eligible gross profit, that means:

  • MyFundedFutures Rapid trader share: $9,000
  • Take Profit Trader PRO trader share: $8,000
  • Difference: $1,000

That becomes more important than a $50 or $100 difference in evaluation fees if you actually become a profitable funded trader.

Which firm is easier to pass?

The MyFundedFutures Rapid $50K evaluation can be passed in two trading days. Take Profit Trader reduced its minimum from five days to three days for new tests starting on 17 August 2026.

Both $50K evaluations require a $3,000 profit target and use a $2,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown. Both also use a 50% consistency rule during evaluation. Neither has a traditional daily loss limit.

That means MyFundedFutures wins on speed, but not because its standard Rapid evaluation is dramatically looser.

There is also a mathematical catch with any two-day evaluation carrying a 50% consistency rule. To pass in exactly two days, the trader effectively needs a very even distribution of profits. Take Profit Trader explicitly cited this problem when explaining why it chose a three-day rather than two-day minimum.

So treat "two days to pass" as the minimum possible duration, not a sensible trading target.

MyFundedFutures has the better profit split

That is one of the cleanest differences between the firms.

MyFundedFutures Rapid gives the 90/10 split during the simulated funded stage and continues with a 90/10 structure in Rapid live accounts.

Take Profit Trader's standard PRO account pays 80/20. Traders who progress to the live-market PRO+ tier receive 90/10 instead. Advancement to PRO+ is based on Take Profit Trader's review of factors including trading consistency, risk management and execution behaviour rather than simply selecting a different plan when signing up.

If your primary objective is maximising the percentage of funded profits you retain, MyFundedFutures Rapid wins.

Take Profit Trader has the stronger day-one payout policy

Take Profit Trader allows withdrawals from the first day in PRO and then daily afterwards. There is no required number of profitable days and no maximum withdrawal amount for profits above the buffer.

The buffer is equal to the account's drawdown. Profits above that buffer can be withdrawn at the standard 80% PRO split. Take Profit Trader also allows a trader to withdraw from inside the buffer at a 50% split, although doing so closes the account.

MyFundedFutures Rapid also offers daily payouts, but the first payout becomes available 24 hours after the first simulated-funded trade and only once the required buffer and minimum payout requirements have been satisfied. On a Rapid $50K account, the required buffer is $2,100 and the minimum payout request is $500.

So although both firms can accurately advertise daily payouts, their payout mechanics are not identical.

For a trader obsessed with extracting profits immediately once funded, Take Profit Trader has the edge.

Which has the better drawdown rules?

There is no universal winner because the answer depends on which MyFundedFutures plan you choose.

During the evaluation, both the standard MyFundedFutures Rapid $50K account and Take Profit Trader $50K test use a $2,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown.

After passing, the standard MyFundedFutures Rapid account switches to an intraday trailing maximum loss limit. On the $50K account, the loss limit remains $2,000 behind the equity high-water mark until the MLL reaches +$100, at which point it locks and stops trailing.

Take Profit Trader PRO also uses intraday drawdown and a buffer system, while PRO+ uses end-of-day drawdown and removes the buffer requirement.

This matters because intraday trailing drawdown can punish open trade equity. A profitable position can push the high-water mark up before the profit is realised, reducing the room available if the trade subsequently pulls back.

What if you hate intraday trailing drawdown?

MyFundedFutures now has another interesting option: Rapid EOD.

The Rapid EOD account keeps end-of-day trailing drawdown into the simulated-funded stage while retaining a 90/10 profit split and daily payouts. The trade-off is a four-day evaluation minimum and a stricter 30% evaluation consistency requirement.

For traders whose strategies regularly experience large intraday swings before closing profitable, Rapid EOD may actually be a better MyFundedFutures comparison than standard Rapid.

Which firm is cheaper?

The MyFundedFutures Rapid $50K page currently lists $209 as its non-promotional price and explicitly describes the evaluation as a one-time payment with no renewals and no activation fee. The page showed promotional pricing from $105 when checked.

Take Profit Trader lists its $50K evaluation at $170 per month. Passing normally leads to a one-time $130 PRO account activation fee unless the trader bought the evaluation under a promotion that waived it.

The distinction between one-time and monthly pricing matters more than the headline evaluation price.

A trader who takes multiple months to pass a Take Profit Trader test can pay another subscription charge. MyFundedFutures Rapid does not use that recurring evaluation model.

Take Profit Trader does, however, offer evaluation resets. Since May 2026, reset prices vary by account size, with the $50K test reset priced at $99.

Take Profit Trader is better if funded-account resets matter

One under-discussed advantage of Take Profit Trader is what happens after you have already passed.

Take Profit Trader allows up to three PRO account resets. That gives a trader who breaches a funded PRO account an alternative to immediately starting the entire evaluation process again.

Standard MyFundedFutures Rapid is less forgiving in this respect. Breaching the maximum drawdown ends the account and generally means purchasing another evaluation.

For traders who have a good record of passing evaluations but a bad habit of blowing funded accounts, TPT's reset mechanics can be worth considerably more than a slightly cheaper initial challenge.

MyFundedFutures vs Take Profit Trader for news trading

Both firms are relatively permissive during the evaluation and more restrictive once funded.

MyFundedFutures Rapid permits Tier 1 news trading during evaluation but does not allow it during the standard Rapid simulated-funded stage.

Take Profit Trader permits news trading during its test but restricts trading around specified major events in PRO.

If your entire edge depends on trading releases such as CPI, NFP or FOMC volatility, read the current event-specific rulebook before buying either evaluation. This is one area where a generic "news trading allowed" comparison can be misleading.

Is MyFundedFutures Rapid better than Take Profit Trader PRO?

MyFundedFutures Rapid is the better package if you value:

  • a 90% profit split from the simulated-funded stage
  • a two-day minimum evaluation
  • no activation fee
  • one-time evaluation pricing
  • daily payouts
  • no funded consistency rule

Take Profit Trader is the stronger option if you value:

  • day-one withdrawal eligibility
  • uncapped withdrawals above the buffer
  • slightly higher $50K contract limits
  • up to five PRO or PRO+ accounts
  • the ability to reset a PRO account rather than immediately starting another evaluation

Neither firm wins every category. The correct choice depends on which rules are most likely to stop your strategy from reaching a payout.

What about MyFundedFutures Pro vs Take Profit Trader?

MyFundedFutures Pro changes the comparison significantly.

MFFU Pro uses end-of-day trailing drawdown in its simulated-funded stage rather than Rapid's intraday trailing drawdown. It has no funded consistency rule, no daily loss limit, an 80/20 split and a documented review for transition to live capital after three consecutive payouts. Its main downside is payout speed: payouts unlock 14 calendar days after the first trade once the required buffer has also been cleared.

Take Profit Trader PRO therefore wins comfortably on payout frequency against MFFU Pro.

MFFU Pro makes more sense for traders who care more about EOD drawdown, large payout capacity and a defined live-transition route than daily cash extraction.

Take Profit Trader vs My Funded Futures: final verdict

MyFundedFutures Rapid wins the mainstream comparison because a trader can potentially pass faster, pays no activation fee, avoids recurring evaluation charges and keeps 90% rather than 80% of funded profits.

Choose Take Profit Trader instead if payout freedom is your number-one criterion. Its ability to withdraw from day one and daily, without a maximum withdrawal amount above the buffer, remains a meaningful advantage. Its funded PRO resets are another genuine benefit for traders who value second chances after passing an evaluation.

There is also a third answer for a specific type of trader. If intraday trailing drawdown is the main thing you dislike about MyFundedFutures Rapid, look at MyFundedFutures Rapid EOD rather than automatically switching firms. It retains the 90/10 split and daily payout structure while moving the simulated-funded drawdown calculation to end of day.

Overall winner: MyFundedFutures.

Best for fast, uncapped payout access: Take Profit Trader.

Best MyFundedFutures plan for most active traders: Rapid.
