Who should consider it

Currency traders comparing spread-based and commission-based accounts with a specific platform or automation workflow in mind.

What to check first

Confirm regional availability, the regulated entity, leverage limits and rollover costs. Forex and CFD losses can accumulate quickly.

Overview

JustMarkets is a legitimate, regulated forex and CFD broker with competitive trading costs, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, low minimum deposits for international clients and access to more than 250 trading instruments. The biggest caveat is regulation: the level of protection you receive depends heavily on which JustMarkets legal entity opens your account.

For international traders, JustMarkets is particularly competitive if low spreads, MetaTrader support and flexible leverage matter more than having a UK or Australian regulatory licence. EU clients receive substantially different conditions through the CySEC-regulated JustMarkets Ltd entity.

Our verdict is that JustMarkets is worth considering for active forex and CFD traders, but it is not the best choice for every investor. Traders should confirm their contracting entity before depositing because comparing the offshore and EU versions of JustMarkets as though they were the same product gives a misleading picture.

Is JustMarkets legit or a scam?

JustMarkets is a legitimate broker group with regulated legal entities. Current regulatory records independently confirm that JustMarkets Ltd holds Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission licence 401/21, while Just Global Markets Ltd appears on the Seychelles Financial Services Authority register. A JustMarkets group company is also currently listed as regulated by the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission.

That is materially different from an unregulated website simply claiming to hold a financial licence.

However, "regulated" should not be treated as a binary safety label. The relevant question is:

Which regulator supervises the specific company holding your trading account?

JustMarkets operates through multiple legal entities, and client protections, leverage limits, compensation arrangements and dispute procedures can differ between them.

For example, JustMarkets Ltd in Cyprus is regulated by CySEC and is a member of the Investor Compensation Fund for eligible clients. The European entity also restricts leverage for ordinary retail clients to a maximum of 1:30 on forex.

International clients can instead be served through other JustMarkets group entities. The global website advertises leverage as high as 1:3000 on some accounts, which immediately shows that these accounts operate under a different regulatory framework from the EU version.

The practical takeaway: verify the company name and regulator shown in the client agreement you receive, rather than assuming every JustMarkets customer receives CySEC protection.

How is JustMarkets regulated?

The JustMarkets group states that it operates with five regulatory licences. Public JustMarkets pages identify regulated entities connected with Cyprus, Seychelles, South Africa, Mauritius and the British Virgin Islands.

The CySEC licence is particularly relevant for European users. The CySEC register independently lists:

JustMarkets Ltd Licence: 401/21 Company registration number: 361312 Approved domain: justmarkets.eu

The licence was issued on 8 June 2021.

The Seychelles Financial Services Authority also lists Just Global Markets Ltd, trading as JustMarkets, while the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission currently lists Just Global Markets (VG) Limited as a regulated entity.

This entity structure matters more than the raw number of licences. A trader opening through justmarkets.eu may receive different protections and trading conditions from somebody registering through justmarkets.com.

These are the broker's advertised minimum trading conditions, not a guarantee of the spread you will receive on every trade. Spreads are variable and can widen according to market conditions.

Standard and Standard Cent

The Standard account is the simplest choice for most casual traders. It requires a $10 minimum deposit internationally, starts with spreads from 0.3 pips and does not charge a separate trading commission.

The Standard Cent account also starts at $10 but denominates the account in cents and supports smaller position sizing. JustMarkets positions it as an entry-level option for gaining experience with real funds while keeping trade sizes small.

Pro account

The JustMarkets Pro account reduces the advertised minimum spread to 0.1 pips while retaining commission-free trading. The global version requires a $200 minimum deposit.

It potentially makes more sense for traders who want lower spreads without calculating a separate per-lot commission.

Raw Spread account

The Raw Spread account is the most obvious choice for scalpers and higher-frequency traders to investigate.

Internationally, spreads start from 0.0 pips and JustMarkets charges $3 per standard lot per side. A complete one-lot opening and closing transaction therefore carries $6 in commission before spread, slippage, swaps or other trading costs are considered.

That all-in cost is what should be compared with competing brokers. A headline "0 pip spread" alone tells you very little about the actual cost of trading.

JustMarkets EU accounts are different

European traders should not rely on reviews quoting the $10 deposit or 1:3000 leverage without checking the legal entity.

The CySEC-regulated JustMarkets European website currently offers Pro and Raw Spread accounts with a €100 minimum initial deposit. Both use MetaTrader 5.

For ordinary EU retail clients, maximum forex leverage is 1:30. Professional clients can qualify for leverage up to 1:100.

This makes the EU product structurally different from the international offering.

The distinction is important enough to repeat plainly:

JustMarkets.com trading conditions should not automatically be assumed to apply to a JustMarkets.eu account.

How competitive are JustMarkets spreads and fees?

JustMarkets advertises competitive pricing on its Pro and Raw Spread accounts, but the relevant comparison is the actual cost during the trading hours and on the instruments you use.

International pricing starts at:

  • Standard: 0.3 pips with no commission
  • Standard Cent: 0.3 pips with no commission
  • Pro: 0.1 pips with no commission
  • Raw Spread: 0.0 pips plus $3 per lot per side

The difference between "spread from 0.0" and an actual zero-cost trade is substantial. On the Raw Spread account, commission still applies, while spread widening, overnight swaps and execution can alter the realised cost.

A scalper trading EUR/USD during liquid market hours may focus on the spread and commission. A trader holding gold or indices overnight may place more weight on swap charges. The cheapest account depends on the strategy.

Compare the full cost of a typical trade rather than choosing an account based only on the lowest advertised spread.

Does JustMarkets charge deposit or withdrawal fees?

JustMarkets says it does not charge its own deposit or withdrawal fee. Banks, e-wallets and other payment providers can still apply separate transaction charges.

The broker also advertises fast or instant processing for many payment methods. Its support information says that most deposits and withdrawals are processed on the JustMarkets side instantly, often in around one minute.

That does not mean every withdrawal reaches the customer within one minute. Payment-provider processing, account verification and compliance checks can extend the total time.

What do JustMarkets users say about withdrawals?

Public reviews include successful withdrawal reports as well as complaints about rejected, delayed or reviewed withdrawals. Some complainants say they were asked for further trading or verification information. JustMarkets has responded publicly to several complaints by referring to compliance requirements or alleged breaches of its client agreement.

These reports are anecdotal. They do not prove systematic wrongdoing, and online broker reviews are difficult to verify independently. Extremely positive and extremely negative reviews can both lack important context.

New customers can reduce the risk of an unpleasant surprise by:

  • Complete identity and payment verification before building a large balance.
  • Deposit using an account held in your own name.
  • Read the withdrawal and non-trading transaction provisions in your specific client agreement.
  • Make a small withdrawal early rather than discovering the process after accumulating a large account balance.

A small withdrawal test provides more useful information about the process than reading another hundred anonymous reviews.

What trading platforms does JustMarkets offer?

International JustMarkets customers can trade through MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, MetaTrader WebTerminal and the JustMarkets mobile app. MT4 remains useful for forex traders who rely on existing Expert Advisors, custom indicators or MQL4-based automated strategies. JustMarkets supports MT4 on desktop, mobile and through a web interface. MT5 includes additional timeframes, order types, market depth and multi-asset functionality. JustMarkets supports forex and CFDs on commodities, stocks and indices through MT5. The platform also supports automated trading through Expert Advisors and the MQL5 language. The JustMarkets mobile app supports trading, account management, deposits, withdrawals, market information and charting. It handles more account administration than MetaTrader alone. Deposits and withdrawals are not managed directly inside MT4 or MT5.

MetaTrader 4

MT4 remains useful for forex traders who rely on existing Expert Advisors, custom indicators or MQL4-based automated strategies.

JustMarkets supports MT4 on desktop, mobile and through a web interface.

MetaTrader 5

MT5 provides additional timeframes, order types, market depth and more sophisticated multi-asset functionality.

JustMarkets' MT5 offering supports forex and CFDs on commodities, stocks and indices, together with automated trading through Expert Advisors and the MQL5 language.

JustMarkets mobile app

JustMarkets also operates its own mobile application with trading, account management, deposits, withdrawals, market information and charting functionality.

The app therefore provides more account-management functionality than using MetaTrader alone, since deposits and withdrawals are not handled directly inside MT4 or MT5.

What can you trade with JustMarkets?

JustMarkets is primarily a CFD broker, not a traditional investment platform for buying and holding the underlying shares or cryptocurrencies.

The global website advertises more than 250 instruments, including:

  • forex currency pairs
  • gold, silver and other commodities
  • oil and energy markets
  • global stock indices
  • share CFDs
  • cryptocurrency CFDs

The distinction between a CFD and an underlying investment matters.

Buying an Apple share through a traditional stockbroker normally gives the investor ownership of that share. Trading an Apple CFD through JustMarkets provides exposure to the price movement without ownership of the underlying stock.

For investors building a long-term portfolio of shares or ETFs, JustMarkets is therefore the wrong type of platform.

How much leverage does JustMarkets offer?

International JustMarkets accounts advertise leverage as high as 1:3000, while EU retail clients are generally limited to 1:30 on forex.

The 1:3000 figure is a feature for traders specifically seeking extreme capital efficiency, but it is also one of the biggest risks in the JustMarkets proposition.

At 1:3000 leverage, a trader can control a position vastly larger than the cash deposited in the account. Small adverse market movements can therefore produce disproportionately large losses or force positions to close quickly.

High maximum leverage should not be interpreted as evidence that a broker is better. It is simply a trading condition.

For inexperienced traders, the ability to use 1:3000 leverage is more likely to increase risk than create an advantage.

Does JustMarkets offer negative balance protection?

JustMarkets advertises negative balance protection for eligible accounts. If an extreme market movement pushes an eligible account below zero, the balance can be reset instead of leaving the customer owing the broker the negative amount.

Negative balance protection does not protect the money already deposited. A leveraged CFD position can still use up the account balance quickly.

JustMarkets pros and cons

What we like

  • Competitive account pricing. Global Pro spreads start from 0.1 pips, while Raw Spread pricing starts from 0.0 pips plus commission.
  • Low entry point internationally. Standard and Standard Cent accounts start from a $10 deposit.
  • MT4 and MT5 support. Useful for traders running Expert Advisors and established MetaTrader workflows.
  • Multiple regulated entities. JustMarkets is not operating as an anonymous unlicensed broker.
  • Broad CFD selection. Forex, commodities, indices, stocks and crypto are available.
  • No JustMarkets deposit or withdrawal fee. External payment providers can still charge.
  • Demo accounts are available.
  • 24/7 multilingual live-chat support is advertised through the JustMarkets trading app.

What to consider

  • Regulatory protection varies by entity. An offshore JustMarkets account should not be treated as equivalent to its CySEC-regulated EU account.
  • Maximum leverage of 1:3000 is exceptionally aggressive. It can amplify losses just as rapidly as profits.
  • The product is mainly CFDs. JustMarkets is not designed for investors wanting ownership of shares, ETFs or cryptocurrency.
  • Account conditions differ substantially by country. A review quoting global leverage or deposits may be irrelevant to an EU customer.
  • Recent public reviews contain withdrawal complaints. They do not prove misconduct, but they are a reasonable reason to test the withdrawal process before committing substantial capital.
  • JustMarkets does not serve every country. The global site currently lists jurisdictions including the United Kingdom and United States among restricted locations.

Who is JustMarkets best for?

JustMarkets is best suited to active forex and CFD traders who want MetaTrader support, several account structures and the ability to compare different pricing models.

It may suit:

  • forex traders already using MT4 or MT5
  • traders running Expert Advisors or automated strategies
  • scalpers comparing Raw Spread execution and all-in trading costs
  • international beginners wanting a small Standard Cent or Standard account
  • experienced CFD traders who deliberately want access to higher leverage outside the EU

It is less suitable for investors whose main goal is long-term ownership of stocks, ETFs or other underlying investments.

Who should avoid JustMarkets?

JustMarkets may not be the right broker if you:

  • want to buy and hold real stocks or ETFs
  • live in a jurisdiction JustMarkets does not serve
  • specifically require FCA, ASIC or US regulatory oversight
  • are uncomfortable trading through an offshore-regulated entity
  • are inexperienced and likely to treat extreme leverage as extra buying power
  • want the same account conditions in every country

The reason to choose another broker is not necessarily that JustMarkets is illegitimate. Another broker may simply offer a regulatory framework or product type that better matches your needs.

JustMarkets review verdict

JustMarkets is a legitimate and competitively priced forex and CFD broker, particularly attractive to active international traders using MetaTrader. Its strongest features are low advertised spreads, a $10 entry point on global Standard accounts, MT4 and MT5 availability, multiple account types and flexible leverage.

The main weakness is that the JustMarkets experience is highly entity-dependent. EU clients trading through CySEC-regulated JustMarkets Ltd receive a materially different product from international clients using the global service, including different minimum deposits, platforms and leverage limits.

So, is JustMarkets worth using?

Yes, for traders who understand leveraged CFDs and whose priority is trading cost and MetaTrader flexibility. No, if your priority is owning underlying investments or obtaining the strongest possible regulatory protection regardless of trading conditions.

Before depositing serious capital, check the legal entity named in your account agreement, compare the actual spread and commission on the instruments you trade, use the demo account and test a real withdrawal with a modest amount.

That tells you far more about whether JustMarkets is suitable for you than the headline spread or maximum leverage ever will.

CFDs and leveraged trading involve substantial risk. This review evaluates the broker and its trading conditions and is not investment advice.
