Who should consider it

Currency traders comparing spread-based and commission-based accounts with a specific platform or automation workflow in mind.

What to check first

Confirm regional availability, the regulated entity, leverage limits and rollover costs. Forex and CFD losses can accumulate quickly.

Overview

IUX is a legitimate forex and CFD broker with unusually competitive trading costs, but it would not be my first choice for traders whose main priority is maximum regulatory protection. Its strongest points are low spreads, MetaTrader 5 access and flexible account pricing. Its main weakness is the regulatory structure: IUX has an ASIC-licensed Australian company, but IUX explicitly states that this entity does not provide services through the main iux.com website.

For experienced, cost-sensitive traders who understand leveraged CFDs and verify exactly which IUX entity will hold their account, IUX is worth considering. Beginners, long-term investors and traders who want the strongest possible regulatory framework, a huge product range or advanced research tools have better alternatives.

Recent customer feedback also deserves attention. IUX has a 4.0/5 Trustpilot score from 953 reviews at the time of checking, but 15% of ratings are one star and recent complaints include delayed withdrawals, missing deposits and slow support resolution. That does not prove systemic wrongdoing, but it is enough reason to test withdrawals before keeping a large balance with the broker.

IUX's current account documentation lists the Standard account from $30 and the Raw and Pro accounts from $200. Some independent 2026 reviews still quote a $50 entry point, so traders should confirm the live amount shown during registration.

Is IUX legit or a scam?

I found no sufficient evidence to describe IUX as a scam. IUX operates through identifiable corporate entities, publishes legal agreements and has verifiable regulatory licences or registrations in several jurisdictions.

That answer needs an important qualification.

The IUX brand operates through multiple legal entities, and those entities do not all provide the same level of regulatory protection. IUX's main regulation page identifies a Mauritius company regulated by the Financial Services Commission, a Saint Vincent and the Grenadines company registration, and an Australian company holding ASIC licence 529610. IUX specifically states that its Australian company does not operate or provide products through iux.com.

IUX also publishes an FSCA licence for IUX Markets ZA (Pty) Ltd in South Africa, licence number 53103, effective from 15 August 2023.

The practical question is therefore not simply, "Is IUX regulated?"

It is:

Which IUX legal entity will hold my account, and what protection applies to that entity?

That is the detail traders should verify in the account-opening agreement before depositing funds.

How is IUX regulated?

Entity / arrangementStatusWhat traders should know
IUX Markets (MU) LtdFSC Mauritius, licence GB22200605Regulated investment dealer entity
IUX Markets ZA (Pty) LtdFSCA South Africa, licence 53103South African financial services provider
IUX Markets AU Pty LtdASIC AFSL 529610Licensed in Australia, but IUX says this company does not provide services through iux.com
IUX Markets LimitedRegistered in Saint Vincent and the GrenadinesCompany registration should not be confused with the same level of supervision as an investment-dealer licence
The Financial CommissionActive memberExternal dispute-resolution mechanism, not a government regulator

IUX is regulated or registered through several entities, but those arrangements do not provide the same type of oversight. IUX Markets is also an active member of The Financial Commission. The organisation lists compensation of up to €20,000 per eligible complaint under its Compensation Fund. That membership gives clients another dispute-resolution route. It is not the same as supervision by a statutory financial regulator or coverage from a government-backed investor compensation scheme.

The ASIC licence needs context

The ASIC licence is one of the strongest trust signals attached to the IUX group, but it is easy for review sites to present it too simplistically.

IUX Markets AU Pty Ltd holds AFSL 529610, but IUX states that this Australian company does not provide services through the main IUX website.

A trader opening an account through iux.com should therefore not assume that the mere existence of an Australian licence means their individual account receives Australian regulatory protection.

Check the legal company name in your client agreement.

Are IUX trading fees actually low?

Yes. Low trading costs are probably IUX's strongest selling point, and independent testing supports the claim.

IUX currently lists three main account types:

Standard

$30
Spread from
0.2 pips

None
Maximum leverage
Up to 1:3000

Raw

Maximum leverage
Up to 1:3000

Pro

Minimum deposit
$200
Spread from
0.1 pips
Commission
None
Maximum leverage

These are minimum advertised spreads, not prices that traders will receive continuously. Variable spreads can widen during volatile or illiquid market conditions.

FXEmpire tested live IUX Standard and Raw accounts during April and May 2026. Its reviewer found IUX's spreads below the site's industry benchmarks across the markets tested and recorded a 0.7-pip EUR/USD spread. FXEmpire gave IUX 4.9/5 for fees.

ForexBrokers.com reached a similar, though less positive, conclusion and rated IUX 4.5/5 for trading fees.

That convergence matters. Broker-advertised "spreads from 0.0 pips" are marketing. Independent live-account observations give the pricing claim considerably more weight.

Starting spread at $10 per pip on a standard lot, plus commission. FXEmpire's live April to May 2026 test recorded 0.7 pips on EUR/USD, which is above every floor here and is the number worth planning around.

Standard vs Raw vs Pro: which IUX account is best?

The Standard account is the simplest starting point for most casual IUX users. The Raw account is more relevant to traders who place many orders or care heavily about spread size.

The Standard account has the lowest published entry requirement at $30 and does not charge a separate trading commission. It suits traders who want to evaluate IUX without committing much capital.

The Raw account starts at $200, advertises spreads from 0.0 pips and charges a $7-per-lot commission according to IUX's current account table. Traders should calculate the total cost of spread plus commission rather than assuming "0.0 spread" automatically means cheaper trading.

The Pro account also requires $200. It advertises spreads from 0.1 pips and has no separate commission.

The right account depends on the instruments traded, trade size and order frequency. The advertised minimum spread alone does not answer the question.

What trading platforms does IUX offer?

IUX offers MetaTrader 5, IUX WebTerminal and the IUX Trade App. It does not support MetaTrader 4.

The platform lineup includes:

  • MetaTrader 5: desktop, mobile and web access with technical indicators, market depth, automated trading support and advanced order management.
  • IUX WebTerminal: browser-based trading without installing desktop software.
  • IUX Trade App: IUX's proprietary mobile application for trading and account management.

IUX positions MT5 as its advanced platform. Its own web and mobile products are aimed at users who want direct browser or mobile access.

ForexBrokers.com was less positive about the proprietary platform. It described the web platform as basic compared with stronger competitors and noted missing functions such as watchlists and alerts.

That limitation matters less if you already use MT5. Traders looking for a highly developed proprietary platform may prefer another broker.

What can you trade with IUX?

IUX offers CFDs on:

  • currency pairs
  • commodities
  • stocks
  • indices
  • cryptocurrencies
  • thematic indices

The range covers common CFD markets but is smaller than the selection at many major multi-asset brokers.

Independent sources also report different totals. FXEmpire counted 133 tradable assets during its 2026 testing, while ForexBrokers.com listed 152 tradable symbols.

The reasonable conclusion is that IUX offers a low-hundreds product range rather than competing on market breadth. Availability can vary by date and jurisdiction, so check the live symbol list if a particular stock, cryptocurrency or currency pair matters to you.

How good are IUX deposits and withdrawals?

IUX advertises fast, fee-free deposits and withdrawals, but customer feedback on withdrawals is mixed. New users should test the process with a small amount first.

IUX says deposits are generally instant or take around 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the payment method. It says withdrawals are usually processed within 5 to 15 minutes and should not exceed 24 hours.

IUX does not charge its own deposit or withdrawal fee. Banks, payment providers and payment networks may still impose their own charges. Withdrawals are subject to KYC and payment-security rules. The receiving account generally needs to match the account holder's name, and IUX normally expects funds to return through the same payment method used for the deposit.

That is IUX's stated policy. Public customer feedback is less consistent.

At the time of this review, Trustpilot showed:

Trustpilot metricCurrent figure
Overall TrustScore4.0/5
Total reviews953
5-star reviews74%
1-star reviews15%
Reviews in previous 12 months254

Trustpilot's summary says positive reviewers often mention low spreads and fast transactions. Negative reviews include missing deposits, slow support and unresolved withdrawals. Trustpilot also identifies IUX as a claimed profile that invites customers to review. Forex Peace Army contains withdrawal complaints as well. These include an older case later marked resolved and a separate 2026 thread describing an extended withdrawal review. They are individual reports, not proof that every IUX customer will face the same issue.

A sensible process is:

1. Complete KYC. 2. Make a small deposit. 3. Trade normally. 4. Request a small withdrawal. 5. Increase the balance only after checking the full funding cycle.

Is IUX swap-free?

IUX offers swap-free trading, but non-Islamic clients should not assume that positions can be held indefinitely without overnight charges.

IUX says accounts in non-Islamic countries may initially receive swap-free status, although it monitors trading behaviour. Repeatedly holding positions overnight can cause the account to lose that status. IUX recommends avoiding positions held for more than two to three consecutive days if a trader wants to retain swap-free eligibility.

Some instruments also have specific swap rules.

The arrangement is more suitable for intraday traders than for traders who routinely hold margin-based positions over long periods.

Is IUX a market maker or an STP broker?

IUX describes itself as a hybrid broker, rather than a pure STP or pure market-maker operation.

Its Client Agreement states that IUX may act as the counterparty to some client orders and match those trades internally. Other orders may be sent to a liquidity provider.

That distinction matters because simplistic reviews calling IUX either "pure STP" or "just a market maker" do not accurately reflect the broker's own legal description.

IUX pros and cons

ProsCons
Independently verified competitive trading costsASIC-regulated entity does not serve customers through iux.com
MetaTrader 5 supportNo MetaTrader 4
Low Standard-account entry requirementNo copy or social trading
Raw and commission-free account optionsProduct range is smaller than many leading brokers
Negative balance protection stated in company documentationProprietary research and platform functionality are relatively limited
Financial Commission dispute-resolution membershipRecent public reviews include withdrawal and account-restriction complaints
Proprietary web and mobile platformsVery high leverage can magnify losses rapidly

Who is IUX best for?

IUX is best suited to experienced active traders who prioritise low transaction costs and already use MetaTrader 5.

The pricing becomes more relevant when a trader places a high number of orders and small cost differences accumulate.

IUX is less suitable for traders who put regulatory strength ahead of pricing. It is also a weaker fit for investors who want to own stocks or cryptocurrencies, since the product range centres on leveraged CFDs rather than traditional investing.

The maximum ratio of up to 1:3000 is flexibility, not a target. It increases exposure and can increase losses just as quickly as potential gains. IUX currently warns that 76% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with the provider.

Can I use IUX in my country?

IUX is not available globally.

IUX currently says it provides services to clients in Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Laos, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Mexico and Colombia.

It says it does not accept citizens or residents of Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States or European Union member countries. IUX also says it no longer accepts new clients from Thailand, although existing Thai clients can continue using their accounts.

Check the current country eligibility page before depositing because availability can change.

Does IUX offer MT4?

No. IUX supports MetaTrader 5 rather than MetaTrader 4.

Traders who rely on MT4-specific Expert Advisors, indicators or workflows would need to move those systems to MT5 or use another broker.

What is the minimum deposit at IUX?

IUX's current Help Center lists a $30 minimum deposit for the Standard account and $200 for both Raw and Pro accounts.

Several recent third-party reviews still list $50. IUX's current first-party account documentation says $30, so that is the figure I would use. Check the live registration screen before funding the account.

Final verdict: is IUX worth using?

IUX is worth considering if your priorities are low trading costs, MT5 and active CFD trading. It is not the broker I would choose purely for maximum regulatory protection.

The pricing case is strong. Independent testing supports IUX's claim that its trading costs are highly competitive, and its Standard, Raw and Pro accounts cover several different trading styles.

The safety case is more nuanced. IUX has legitimate regulated entities, but the strongest licence attached to the group should not automatically be confused with the entity protecting a particular iux.com customer. The Australian ASIC company explicitly does not provide services through the main site.

There is also enough recent withdrawal-related customer feedback to justify caution without jumping to the unsupported conclusion that IUX is a scam.

My call: experienced, price-sensitive MT5 traders can reasonably shortlist IUX, but verify your contracting entity and successfully test a withdrawal before committing substantial capital. Traders who value stronger direct regulatory protection, a much larger market range or richer research tools should compare IUX with more established alternatives before opening an account.
