Who should consider it

Currency traders comparing spread-based and commission-based accounts with a specific platform or automation workflow in mind.

What to check first

Confirm regional availability, the regulated entity, leverage limits and rollover costs. Forex and CFD losses can accumulate quickly.

Overview

FIBO Group is a legitimate, currently regulated forex and CFD broker, but it would not be our default choice for traders who can use a broker with stronger regulatory protection. FIBO GROUP, LTD. is currently listed as a regulated entity by the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission, while its former Cyprus entity is now listed by CySEC as a former investment firm following voluntary renunciation of licence 118/10.

That distinction matters more than FIBO Group's long operating history or its headline trading conditions.

The broker has genuine strengths. It offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader, multiple No Dealing Desk and spread-only account options, cent accounts, algorithmic trading support and very high leverage on selected accounts. Its weaknesses are primarily regulatory protection and surprisingly inconsistent information across its own pricing and account pages.

Our verdict: FIBO Group can make sense for an experienced trader specifically looking for flexible account structures, MT4/MT5/cTrader access or high leverage. For a trader prioritising capital protection, regulatory recourse and a simple, unambiguous fee schedule, there are stronger choices.

Information checked: 10 September 2026. This review is based on regulatory records, FIBO Group's published trading conditions, legal information and public user feedback. It does not claim first-hand live-account testing.

FIBO Group's products and trading conditions vary significantly by account. A headline such as "0 pip spreads" or "1:5000 leverage" does not describe every FIBO Group account.

Is FIBO Group Legit?

Yes. FIBO GROUP, LTD. is a genuine regulated financial-services entity rather than an unlicensed broker using a fabricated regulatory claim.

The British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission currently lists FIBO GROUP, LTD. among its regulated entities. The regulator's records identify FIBO GROUP, LTD. for investment activities including dealing as agent and arranging deals in investments.

FIBO Group itself states that company registration number 549364 operates under BVI FSC Investment Business Licence SIBA/L/13/1063, authorising it to deal in investments as agent and principal and arrange investment transactions.

Calling FIBO Group an "unregulated broker" would therefore be incorrect.

Calling it highly regulated without explaining the jurisdiction would also be misleading.

Is FIBO Group Safe?

FIBO Group is regulated, but its current regulatory position is weaker than many traders may assume from older FIBO Group reviews.

The key issue is the difference between the company's current British Virgin Islands operation and its former Cyprus-regulated business.

CySEC's official register lists FIBO Markets Ltd, formerly FIBO Group Holdings Ltd, under former Cypriot investment firms. Licence 118/10 is specifically marked "Voluntary Renunciation."

This means an article still describing FIBO Group simply as "CySEC regulated" is out of date.

The current FIBO Group website instead identifies FIBO GROUP, LTD. in the British Virgin Islands as its regulated entity.

For the trader, the practical question is therefore not: > "Is FIBO Group regulated?"

It is: > "What protection do I receive under the specific FIBO Group entity holding my account?"

That is the question to answer before depositing a meaningful balance.

Why the former CySEC licence matters

The former CySEC licence matters because European and BVI regulation do not provide the same protections.

FIBO Group's previous CySEC-regulated operation should not be used to suggest that clients opening accounts with the current BVI company receive the protections associated with an active CySEC investment-firm licence.

For traders who place regulatory protection first, this is the main reason to consider another broker.

What Trading Accounts Does FIBO Group Offer?

FIBO Group offers one of its stronger features here: traders can choose between fixed-spread, NDD, commission-free NDD, cent and cTrader account structures rather than being forced into a single pricing model.

Its current comparison page lists eight variants across MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader.

\*FIBO Group currently publishes conflicting figures in some sections of its website. These discrepancies are examined below.

Cent accounts are particularly useful for testing an Expert Advisor or trading system with real execution while keeping the nominal amount of capital small. They should not be confused with a demo account, however. Real-money market risk remains.

FIBO Group's Published Trading Conditions Are Not Fully Consistent

This is one of the more important findings from reviewing FIBO Group in 2026.

Several current FIBO Group pages give different figures for the same account or trading condition.

For example, FIBO Group's main products page describes its general cTrader account with maximum leverage of 1:100, while the detailed account comparison lists cTrader NDD at 1:400 and cTrader Zero Spread at 1:1000.

The detailed account page also contains discrepancies within its own content. Its comparison table lists MT5 NDD commission at 0.003% of transaction value, while the individual MT5 NDD section displayed on the same page states 0.005%. The MT4 Fixed summary table publishes a spread from 2 pips, while another account description on that page displays a lower minimum figure.

This does not prove that clients are being incorrectly charged. It does mean traders should verify the actual contract specification shown for the chosen account before depositing, rather than relying on a review site or even a headline figure elsewhere on FIBO Group's website.

For high-frequency trading, those differences are not trivial.

FIBO Group Spreads and Commissions

FIBO Group can offer competitive headline spreads, but the cheapest account cannot be identified from spread alone because several zero-spread or raw-spread accounts charge commission.

The MT4 NDD account currently advertises spreads from 0 pips and a transaction-based commission. cTrader NDD and MT5 NDD use a similar spread-plus-commission structure.

MT4 NDD No Commission takes the opposite approach. FIBO Group publishes a wider minimum spread, from 0.8 pips, with no separate trading commission.

The correct comparison is therefore: all-in trading cost = spread + commission + swap/financing + slippage

A "0 pip" account is not automatically cheaper than a 0.8-pip commission-free account.

Traders running scalping systems or high turnover strategies should calculate the cost using their actual pair, lot size and expected monthly volume.

Which Trading Platforms Does FIBO Group Support?

FIBO Group supports MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader. Platform choice is one of the broker's clearest strengths.

MetaTrader 4 remains useful for traders with existing MT4 Expert Advisors, indicators and trading tools.

MetaTrader 5 provides a newer MetaTrader environment. FIBO Group lists Depth of Market functionality on its MT5 NDD offering.

cTrader is available for traders who prefer its interface, market-depth tools, algorithmic trading environment or cTrader Copy ecosystem.

FIBO Group also states that it does not restrict trading strategies and supports manual trading and Expert Advisors.

For an algorithmic trader with an existing MT4 or cTrader setup, that flexibility may matter more than access to instruments the trader does not use.

What Can You Trade With FIBO Group?

FIBO Group is primarily a forex and CFD broker.

The available instruments depend on the account and platform. Its current account comparison shows approximately 32 to 43 currency pairs, depending on account type. Several MetaTrader accounts include cryptocurrency products, and supported accounts offer up to 50 US stock CFDs.

FIBO Group also advertises CFDs on commodities and indices.

An instrument shown on the broker's website may not be available on every account. Traders should check the platform's contract list before opening an account, especially when choosing a cTrader or Cent account.

How Much Leverage Does FIBO Group Offer?

FIBO Group advertises extremely high leverage, reaching 1:5000 on its MT5 Cent account at the time of this review.

Other published limits include 1:3000 on MT4 Cent, 1:1000 on cTrader Zero Spread, 1:400 on several NDD accounts and 1:200 on MT4 Fixed.

High leverage is a feature, not automatically an advantage.

At 1:5000 leverage, a relatively small amount of margin can control a position many times larger than the account equity. This dramatically increases the speed at which both profits and losses can accumulate.

Traders attracted to FIBO Group specifically because of high leverage should treat margin requirements, Stop Out levels and position sizing as part of the product, not as footnotes.

FIBO Group Deposits, Withdrawals and Fees

FIBO Group supports bank transfers, cards, electronic payment services and cryptocurrency funding, but its current withdrawal costs vary substantially by method.

The broker's dedicated payment page currently lists examples including:

  • Bank withdrawals at roughly $35 to $50, with a stated transfer time of three to five business days.
  • Neteller withdrawals at 2%, subject to a minimum fee.
  • Skrill withdrawals at 1%.
  • Some cryptocurrency withdrawals at 0.5%.
  • Different charges for other payment providers.

There is another information-quality issue here.

FIBO Group's general FAQ says the company does not charge commissions for deposits or withdrawals and that payment processors may impose their own charges. Its dedicated live payment page, however, publishes specific withdrawal percentages and bank-transfer costs.

The dedicated payment schedule is the page we would verify immediately before funding because it contains the method-specific figures.

Can you withdraw using a different method?

FIBO Group generally expects clients to withdraw using the same currency and payment method used to fund the account.

This is a common anti-money-laundering control. It can create a problem if the original payment method later becomes unavailable or inconvenient.

Choose the funding method with the eventual withdrawal in mind.

What Do FIBO Group Customer Reviews Say?

Public feedback on FIBO Group is mixed. Some detailed negative reviews concern withdrawals, trade annulments, execution and platform behaviour. These are customer allegations, not independently proven facts.

Forex Peace Army displayed a rating of approximately 2.0 from 33 reviews when checked in 2026. Its historical reviews include successful withdrawal reports as well as complaints about cancelled transactions, execution behaviour and withdrawal disputes.

The sample is small and self-selected. Customers with extreme experiences are more likely to post a review than an average customer, so the rating does not represent all FIBO Group clients.

It still deserves attention.

For an offshore broker, detailed complaints about withdrawals or disputed trades deserve more weight than generic comments such as "great platform" because recovering funds or resolving a dispute can be more difficult when the trader and broker are in different jurisdictions.

FIBO Group Pros and Cons

Advantages

  • Current regulation can be verified directly with the BVI Financial Services Commission.
  • MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader are all available.
  • Cent accounts allow very small real-money trading tests.
  • Several NDD account options are available.
  • Advertised spreads start from 0 pips on selected accounts.
  • FIBO Group supports Expert Advisors and automated trading.
  • High leverage is available for traders who deliberately require it.
  • PAMM functionality is available on selected account types.

Disadvantages

  • The former CySEC entity is no longer an active CySEC investment firm.
  • Current international regulation is through the British Virgin Islands rather than a major European retail brokerage regime.
  • FIBO Group's own website contains conflicting spread, leverage, commission and payment-fee information.
  • Withdrawal fees can be significant depending on payment method.
  • Public trader feedback includes serious complaints, although individual allegations cannot be independently treated as fact.
  • The very high leverage available on some accounts substantially increases trading risk.

Who Is FIBO Group Best For?

FIBO Group is most compelling for experienced traders who value account flexibility more than maximum regulatory protection.

The strongest use cases are traders who specifically want MT4, MT5 or cTrader, need NDD account options, run Expert Advisors, want a low-capital Cent environment or deliberately require leverage beyond the limits normally available through more tightly regulated retail entities.

The platform choice is genuinely good.

The account choice is genuinely good.

Those strengths do not remove the regulatory trade-off.

Who Should Avoid FIBO Group?

FIBO Group is a weaker fit for traders whose first requirement is strong investor protection.

A different broker may be more suitable if you:

Beginners should be careful with 1:3000 or 1:5000 leverage. The ability to open a larger position also allows account equity to fall much faster.

Is FIBO Group a Scam?

The evidence does not support describing FIBO Group simply as a scam. FIBO GROUP, LTD. is currently listed as a regulated entity by the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission.

There are, however, legitimate reasons to apply more scrutiny than you might to a broker regulated under a stronger local investor-protection regime.

The correct distinction is:

FIBO Group is regulated offshore, not unregulated.

That is considerably more precise than either "FIBO Group is a scam" or "FIBO Group is completely safe."

Potential clients should also use the official domain. FIBO Group has published warnings about unrelated websites using its name and branding.

Is FIBO Group Available in the United States or United Kingdom?

No. FIBO Group states that its services are unavailable to residents of the United States and United Kingdom.

North Korea is also explicitly excluded. Other restrictions may apply based on the client's jurisdiction.

Check FIBO Group's current client-acceptance documentation before opening an account.

FIBO Group Review: Final Verdict

FIBO Group is a legitimate offshore-regulated forex and CFD broker with excellent platform choice and unusually flexible account structures, but its regulatory position stops us from making it a default recommendation.

The strongest argument for FIBO Group is its trading setup. MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, NDD execution options, Cent accounts, Expert Advisor support and potentially very high leverage give experienced traders plenty of flexibility.

The strongest argument against FIBO Group is not its trading software. It is the protection surrounding the account.

FIBO GROUP, LTD. remains a currently regulated BVI FSC entity, but the former FIBO Cyprus entity's CySEC licence has been voluntarily renounced. Traders reading older reviews should not assume that the old European regulatory status still applies.

There is also a practical transparency problem. FIBO Group's own pages currently publish conflicting figures for selected commissions, leverage limits, spreads and withdrawal charges. That makes checking the final account specification before funding essential.

Bottom line: FIBO Group is worth considering if you specifically value its platforms, execution models or leverage and understand the offshore regulatory trade-off. If your priority is maximum regulatory protection and straightforward dispute recourse, choose a stronger-regulated alternative available in your jurisdiction.

Forex and CFD trading involves substantial risk and can result in the loss of your invested capital.
