Overview
ACY Securities is a legitimate CFD and forex broker worth considering for traders who want MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, competitive raw-spread pricing and a large CFD range. However, the most important question is not simply whether ACY Securities is regulated. It is which ACY legal entity will actually hold your account.
Australian clients can trade through ACY Securities Pty Ltd, which holds Australian Financial Services Licence AFSL 403863 and is regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). ACY also operates ACY Securities SA Pty Ltd in South Africa under the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA: 51008). International clients may instead contract with ACY Capital LLC, which ACY describes as incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines under company number 2610 LLC 2022. Incorporation in St Vincent and the Grenadines is not equivalent to the regulatory protection provided by ASIC or the FSCA.
Our verdict: ACY Securities is a good fit for active forex and CFD traders, particularly those who can use one of its regulated entities. We would be more cautious about depositing significant capital through the offshore ACY Capital LLC entity without first understanding the applicable client agreement, protections and dispute process.
ACY Securities is not a good fit for anyone looking to buy and hold real shares or ETFs because its core offering is derivatives. ACY explicitly states that clients trading its foreign exchange and derivatives products do not own the underlying assets.

Is ACY Securities legit?
Yes. ACY Securities is a legitimate brokerage brand with regulated operating companies, including an ASIC-regulated Australian entity. That does not mean every ACY account receives identical regulatory protection.
ACY Securities Pty Ltd holds AFSL 403863. The licence permits financial services involving derivatives and foreign exchange contracts, among other products. ACY's current website also identifies ACY Securities SA Pty Ltd as regulated by South Africa's FSCA under number 51008.
The important distinction is ACY Capital LLC. ACY's own disclosures describe this company as incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines, rather than describing it as being ASIC-regulated.
That means the statement “ACY Securities is ASIC regulated” is technically incomplete when used to describe every customer relationship.
Before depositing money, check the legal name at the top of your account agreement.
If it says:
- ACY Securities Pty Ltd, check AFSL 403863.
- ACY Securities SA Pty Ltd, check FSCA 51008.
- ACY Capital LLC, understand that you are dealing with the St Vincent and the Grenadines entity rather than the Australian ASIC licensee.
That single check tells you more about your regulatory position than most broker ratings.
Is ACY Securities safe?
ACY Securities has meaningful safeguards under its regulated entities, but we would not assign one universal safety level to every ACY customer because the applicable entity varies.
ACY states that client funds are kept in segregated trust accounts with Commonwealth Bank Australia and National Australia Bank. Segregating client money from operational funds is an important protection, although it does not eliminate trading or counterparty risk.
Australian retail CFD clients also benefit from ASIC's CFD product intervention rules. The rules include:
- maximum leverage of 30:1 on major currency pairs
- 20:1 on minor currency pairs, gold and major stock indices
- 10:1 on other commodities and minor indices
- 5:1 on shares and certain other assets
- 2:1 on crypto-assets
- margin close-out requirements
- negative balance protection
- restrictions on certain trading inducements
ASIC extended these CFD protections until 23 May 2027.
This also explains why very high leverage figures seen elsewhere on ACY's international marketing should not be interpreted as leverage available to an Australian retail customer.
Higher leverage is not automatically an advantage. It increases both potential exposure and the speed at which losses can accumulate.
ACY Securities regulation explained
The regulatory structure becomes clearer when the ACY brand is separated from the companies behind it. ACY Securities Pty Ltd holds Australian Financial Services Licence 403863 and operates under ASIC supervision. Australian retail CFD accounts are subject to ASIC leverage limits, negative balance protection and margin close-out requirements. For an Australian trader who qualifies for this entity, it would be our preferred ACY option. ACY Securities SA Pty Ltd is regulated by the FSCA under number 51008. ACY lists the South African registered address as 4 Stan Road, Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng. South African customers should confirm that the products offered to them fall within the permissions attached to their account and agreement. ACY Capital LLC is an offshore company used for international business within the ACY group. ACY identifies it as incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines under company number 2610 LLC 2022. Its regulatory disclosure does not present this incorporation as equivalent to the ASIC licence held by ACY Securities Pty Ltd. International traders should confirm the contracting entity before depositing. An ASIC logo elsewhere on the website does not prove that an offshore account is legally held by the ASIC-regulated company.
ACY Securities Pty Ltd in Australia
ACY Securities Pty Ltd is the strongest-regulated ACY entity we identified.
The company holds Australian Financial Services Licence 403863 and operates under ASIC supervision. Australian retail CFD accounts are subject to ASIC's leverage limits, negative balance protection and margin close-out requirements.
For an Australian trader choosing ACY, this would be our preferred entity.
ACY Securities SA Pty Ltd in South Africa
ACY Securities SA Pty Ltd is regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority under FSCA number 51008.
ACY lists its South African registered address as 4 Stan Road, Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng.
South African customers should still verify that the specific products being offered fall within the permissions attached to their account and agreement.
ACY Capital LLC in St Vincent and the Grenadines
ACY Capital LLC is an offshore company used within the ACY group for international business.
ACY identifies ACY Capital LLC as incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines under company number 2610 LLC 2022. Its current regulatory disclosure does not present this incorporation as equivalent to the ASIC licence held by ACY Securities Pty Ltd.
For international traders, this is the main due-diligence point.
Do not assume that seeing an ASIC logo elsewhere on the ACY website means your offshore account is legally held by the ASIC-regulated company.
ACY Securities account types and minimum deposit
ACY's international pages advertise three main account options: Basic, Standard and ProZero.
Basic
- Advertised minimum deposit
- $50
- Spread structure
- Variable
- Commission
- From zero
Standard
- Advertised minimum deposit
- $100
- Spread structure
- Variable
- Commission
- From zero
ProZero
- Advertised minimum deposit
- $200
- Spread structure
- From 0.0 pips
- Commission
- From $3 per lot per side
The advertised minimum trade size is 0.01 lots.
Older ACY reviews often mention account structures such as Bespoke. Account names and conditions change, so the offer shown during your own registration should take priority over an old review.
Which ACY Securities account is best?
ProZero is the account we would examine first for active forex trading, particularly when transaction costs have a noticeable effect on results.
ACY advertises ProZero spreads from 0.0 pips and commissions from $3 per standard lot per side, or $6 for a round trip.
On a forex position where one pip is worth roughly $10 per standard lot, a $6 round-trip commission equals about 0.6 pips before the actual spread is added.
This gives you a simple comparison:
If the Standard account's effective spread is consistently more than about 0.6 pips wider than ProZero on the instruments and trade sizes you use, ProZero may be cheaper.
The exact break-even point depends on the instrument, contract specification, account currency and live spread. "Spreads from 0.0 pips" is a minimum advertised figure. It does not mean the average spread will be zero.
Basic or Standard may suit occasional traders who prefer a commission-free structure.
What are ACY Securities' fees?
ACY Securities uses a mixture of spreads, commissions, swaps and transaction charges depending on the account and activity.
The main costs to check are:
- bid-ask spread
- ProZero trading commission
- overnight swap or financing charges
- currency conversion
- withdrawal charges after the monthly free allowance
- potential administrative charges on swap-free accounts after their fee-free holding period
- third-party banking or blockchain charges
ACY states that it charges no internal deposit fee and currently provides five free withdrawals per calendar month. After the fifth withdrawal, ACY's support documentation states that a $25 fee in the account's base currency applies to each additional withdrawal that month.
ACY's swap-free account documentation has also been updated over time. ACY announced that the fee-free period before an administration charge can apply was extended from two days to four days.
Anyone planning to hold leveraged positions overnight should therefore compare financing costs, not just the headline spread.
Round-turn commission against comparable brokers
Published commission, round turn on one standard lot. Spreads and exchange fees are charged separately.
What trading platforms does ACY Securities offer?
ACY Securities offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and the web-based ACY Trading Platform.
MetaTrader 4 suits forex traders who use Expert Advisors, indicators and established automated strategies.
MetaTrader 5 provides access to ACY's wider multi-asset range. ACY says more than 2,200 instruments are available through MT5, including CFDs on forex, shares, indices, commodities, precious metals, ETFs and cryptocurrencies.
The ACY Trading Platform includes an economic calendar, multi-symbol charts and dynamic margin functionality.
Older ACY material refers to the proprietary platform as LogixTrader. Current public pages mainly use the name ACY Trading Platform, which explains why older reviews may use different terminology.
Is ACY Securities good for automated trading?
ACY is a reasonable fit for MetaTrader automation because MT4 and MT5 support Expert Advisors.
The broker also provides MetaTrader scripts and promotes VPS infrastructure for automated strategies. Its VPS offer can reimburse up to US$35 of the monthly VPS cost for customers who meet the stated trading volume requirement of more than 20 lots in a calendar month.
That makes ACY more relevant to EA traders than to someone looking for a basic investment app.
What can you trade with ACY Securities?
ACY describes itself as a multi-asset CFD broker and currently advertises access to more than 2,200 markets.
The product range includes:
- forex CFDs
- share CFDs
- index CFDs
- commodity CFDs
- precious-metals CFDs
- ETF CFDs
- cryptocurrency CFDs
The word CFD matters.
When you trade a share CFD through ACY Securities, you are speculating on the price movement of the share rather than becoming the registered owner of the underlying company shares. ACY's own risk disclosures explicitly state that clients do not own or have an interest in the underlying assets when trading its derivatives.
For leveraged short-term trading, that may be exactly what you want.
For long-term portfolio investing, dividend ownership or voting rights, it probably is not.
ACY Securities deposits and withdrawals
ACY Securities supports a broad range of funding methods and currently allows five fee-free withdrawals per month.
ACY's current funding pages reference bank transfers, credit and debit cards, electronic payment services and cryptocurrency options. Exact availability depends on location.
ACY says withdrawal requests received before 21:00 AEST are processed on the same day, while requests received after that cut-off are processed on the next business day. Processing by ACY is not necessarily the same thing as funds arriving in your bank or wallet, because payment networks and financial institutions can add additional time.
The current withdrawal fee policy is straightforward:
Withdrawals one to five in a calendar month: free from ACY.
Sixth and subsequent withdrawals in the same calendar month: $25 per withdrawal in your account base currency.
ACY also offers instant cryptocurrency withdrawal functionality for eligible transactions using supported digital assets.
Does ACY Securities have withdrawal problems?
The available evidence does not establish a systemic withdrawal problem. Public reviews include both fast-service reports and complaints about delayed or declined withdrawals.
At the time of this review, ACY Securities had a 4.4 out of 5 Trustpilot score from 705 reviews. Trustpilot showed 83% five-star reviews and 10% one-star reviews. ACY's profile is claimed, and Trustpilot says the company invites customers to leave reviews.
Recent reviews include complaints about withdrawal delays. In one August 2026 case, ACY publicly responded that a withdrawal had been declined because promotional conditions had not been met.
Customer reviews can identify issues worth checking, but they cannot show how often those issues occur or establish their cause across all accounts.
If withdrawals are a major concern, use this process:
- Read the withdrawal terms before accepting a bonus or promotion.
- Complete KYC documentation before making a significant deposit.
- Confirm which legal entity holds your account.
- Make a small withdrawal before substantially increasing your trading balance.
A small test withdrawal gives you account-specific evidence.
What we like about ACY Securities
The strongest parts of the ACY Securities offering are:
- ASIC-regulated Australian entity: AFSL 403863 provides a meaningful regulatory framework for eligible Australian clients.
- Competitive ProZero structure: Raw spreads from 0.0 pips plus commission from $3 per lot per side is potentially attractive for active traders.
- MT4 and MT5: Strong compatibility with established discretionary and automated trading workflows.
- 2,200+ CFD instruments: Broad coverage across forex, equities, ETFs, commodities, indices and cryptocurrencies.
- Low entry requirement: The global Basic account is advertised from a $50 initial deposit.
- Five free monthly withdrawals: Better than broker fee structures that charge for every withdrawal.
- EA and VPS support: Useful for algorithmic forex traders.
What we do not like about ACY Securities
The ACY brand includes ASIC and FSCA-regulated companies as well as ACY Capital LLC in St Vincent and the Grenadines. International traders must identify the contracting company before assuming that Australian protections apply. A spread advertised from 0.0 pips is a minimum figure. Compare live or representative spreads with commissions and swaps to estimate the actual cost. ACY suits forex and CFD trading more closely than conventional investing. CFD clients do not own the underlying assets. Five free withdrawals per month will cover most users. Traders who move money frequently may pay $25 for each further withdrawal in that month. The international offering may provide much higher leverage than an ASIC-regulated Australian retail CFD account. This increases risk capacity. It does not show that the offshore entity is a better choice.
Regulatory protection depends on the entity
The global ACY brand includes ASIC and FSCA-regulated companies, but it also includes ACY Capital LLC in St Vincent and the Grenadines. International traders need to identify their contracting entity rather than assuming the Australian licence covers them.
Headline spreads do not show the full cost
“From 0.0 pips” describes a minimum spread. Traders need live or representative spreads plus commissions and swaps to calculate actual transaction costs.
It is primarily a derivatives broker
ACY Securities is better suited to forex and CFD trading than conventional long-term investing because clients do not own the underlying assets when trading CFDs.
Additional withdrawals can become expensive
Five free withdrawals per month is generous for most users, but $25 for each additional withdrawal could add up for traders moving money frequently.
High leverage deserves caution
ACY's international offering can provide materially higher leverage than an ASIC-regulated Australian retail CFD account. Higher available leverage should be treated as higher risk capacity, not as evidence that one entity is better than another.
Who is ACY Securities best for?
ACY Securities is best suited to active forex and CFD traders who understand leveraged products and want MetaTrader compatibility, automated trading support or raw-spread account options.
It may suit you if:
- you are eligible to trade through the ASIC-regulated Australian entity
- you use MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5
- you trade forex actively enough for raw pricing to matter
- you use Expert Advisors or automated systems
- you want access to a large multi-asset CFD range
- you understand the difference between owning an asset and trading a CFD
Who should avoid ACY Securities?
ACY Securities may be a poor fit if:
- you want to buy real shares or ETFs for a long-term investment portfolio
- you are a US resident, because ACY states that it does not accept US applications
- you want the strongest possible regulatory protection but are only offered an offshore ACY Capital LLC account
- you do not understand leveraged CFD risk
- you are primarily choosing a broker because it advertises very high leverage
Is ACY Securities a scam?
No evidence reviewed for this article supports describing ACY Securities as a scam. ACY operates regulated entities in Australia and South Africa, including ACY Securities Pty Ltd under ASIC AFSL 403863.
That is different from saying every ACY account carries the same level of protection.
The smarter question is:
“Which ACY Securities company am I actually sending my money to?”
Verify that before depositing.
What is the minimum deposit at ACY Securities?
ACY Securities advertises a minimum deposit from $50 for its Basic account.
Its global account pages list:
- Basic: $50
- Standard: $100
- ProZero: $200
Requirements and account availability vary by jurisdiction.
Does ACY Securities use MT4 or MT5?
ACY Securities offers both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. It also provides the web-based ACY Trading Platform.
MT5 provides access to the widest advertised product range, including more than 2,200 CFD instruments.
Does ACY Securities accept US clients?
No. ACY Securities states that it does not accept applications from US residents.
Does ACY Securities offer negative balance protection?
Australian retail CFD clients receive negative balance protection under ASIC's CFD product intervention rules.
These rules limit a retail client's aggregate CFD losses to the funds available in the relevant CFD trading account. Do not assume the same protection applies to an account held through another ACY legal entity.
Is ACY Securities good for beginners?
ACY Securities is accessible to beginners, but CFDs themselves are not beginner-friendly products.
A $50 advertised minimum deposit and commission-free account options reduce the barrier to opening an account, but they do not reduce the underlying risk of leveraged trading.
ASIC introduced its Australian CFD restrictions after finding that most retail clients lose money trading CFDs.
A beginner considering ACY should understand leverage, margin, stop losses, spread, swaps and position sizing before trading meaningful capital.
Final verdict: should you use ACY Securities?
ACY Securities is a credible choice for forex and CFD traders, particularly if your account is held through ACY Securities Pty Ltd under ASIC regulation. Its combination of MT4, MT5, a proprietary platform, more than 2,200 advertised CFDs and ProZero pricing makes it competitive for active and automated traders.
The reason we would not give ACY Securities an unconditional recommendation is its multi-entity structure.
An Australian ASIC account and an international ACY Capital LLC account should not be treated as identical simply because both carry the ACY Securities brand.
Our decision rule is simple: verify the entity first.
If the account is being opened through a regulatory framework you are comfortable with and ACY's live trading costs are competitive for the instruments you actually trade, ACY Securities deserves a place on your shortlist.
If you are being routed to ACY Capital LLC and strong regulatory protection is more important to you than access to higher leverage or offshore trading conditions, compare alternative brokers before depositing.
And if your goal is long-term investing rather than leveraged CFD trading, ACY Securities is the wrong type of product in the first place.
Research checked September 2026. Broker terms, promotions, account availability and regulatory arrangements can change. Verify the legal entity and current client agreement before funding an account.
The entity-first verdict, current five-withdrawal policy, stale-account-name cleanup and ProZero 0.6-pip-equivalent commission calculation give this substantially more retrieval value than the generic reviews currently sitting around the query.
