What to check first
Confirm regional availability, the regulated entity, leverage limits and rollover costs. Forex and CFD losses can accumulate quickly.
Overview
Vantage Markets is a strong choice for active forex and CFD traders who want low-cost Raw pricing, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and TradingView, but the exact Vantage entity you open an account with matters. Australian clients can trade through an ASIC-regulated entity, while Vantage operates a separate FCA-regulated UK business. International users of the main Vantage Markets website may instead be onboarded under an offshore entity with materially different investor protections.
Our verdict: Vantage is competitive on trading costs, platforms and account choice, but we would verify the legal entity before depositing any money. For experienced forex and CFD traders, particularly those considering the Raw ECN account, Vantage deserves a shortlist position. Traders who prioritise maximum regulatory protection over leverage, promotions or offshore account flexibility should pay especially close attention to where their account is actually held.

Is Vantage Markets safe and legitimate?
Vantage Markets is a group of businesses operating through several legal entities, including regulated companies in Australia and the UK. The protections available to you depend on the company that opens and holds your account.
Vantage Global Prime Pty Ltd is regulated in Australia by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission under AFSL 428901. Vantage Global Prime LLP is separately authorised and regulated in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority under FRN 590299.
The distinction is especially important for UK traders.
On 2 April 2026, the FCA published a warning about vantagemarkets.com. It said the website was not authorised by the FCA and may have been providing or promoting financial services in the UK without permission. The FCA-regulated Vantage business uses the separate vantagemarkets.co.uk website and operates as Vantage Global Prime LLP.
Vantage also warns visitors to its international website that it is separate from the FCA-regulated UK entity. Its international regulatory page says customers using that route are not guaranteed the protections associated with the UK business, including Financial Services Compensation Scheme and Financial Ombudsman Service protection.
Before depositing money, check:
For UK residents, the global.com website should not be treated as though it were the FCA-regulated Vantage entity.
Vantage fees and spreads
Vantage is most competitive for active traders using Raw ECN pricing rather than the commission-free Standard account.
The Raw ECN account advertises spreads from 0.0 pips and charges $3 per standard lot per side. Opening and closing one standard lot therefore costs $6 in commission before the spread is added.
The Standard STP account has no separate volume commission. Instead, more of the trading cost is included in the spread.
The advertised minimum should not be treated as a constant trading cost. Vantage's account comparison page lists Standard pricing from about 1.1 pips, while its spread page listed EUR/USD Standard pricing from 1.4 pips at the time reviewed. Spreads change by instrument and market conditions, so compare the live cost for the markets you actually trade.
Round-turn commission against comparable brokers
Published commission, round turn on one standard lot. Spreads and exchange fees are charged separately.
Standard STP vs Raw ECN
Standard STP
- Spread structure
- Wider spread
- Commission
- $0 on trading volume for most products
- Minimum deposit
- $50
- Better suited to
- Simpler pricing and lower-frequency traders
Raw ECN
- Spread structure
- From 0.0 pips
- Commission
- $3 per lot per side
- Minimum deposit
- $50
- Better suited to
- Active traders, scalpers and algorithmic strategies
Pro ECN
- Spread structure
- From 0.0 pips
- Commission
- From $1.50 per lot per side
- Minimum deposit
- $10,000
- Better suited to
- Higher-volume professional traders
The Standard account keeps the pricing structure simple. The Raw ECN account may cost less for active traders when its narrower spread offsets the commission. The Pro ECN account lowers the commission further but requires $10,000. It is aimed at traders with higher volumes and more capital.
There is no single best account for every trader. The total cost depends on the instrument, trade size, spread and number of trades.
What can you trade with Vantage?
Vantage offers more than 1,000 CFD instruments, making its product range broad enough for most forex and multi-asset CFD traders.
Available categories include:
- forex CFDs
- indices
- precious metals
- commodities and energy
- share CFDs
- ETFs
- bonds
Vantage's product pages currently advertise access to more than 1,000 instruments.
The important word here is CFD. A contract for difference gives the trader exposure to the price movement of an underlying market without ownership of that underlying asset.
Vantage is therefore a much more natural fit for leveraged trading than for somebody simply looking to build a conventional long-term portfolio of directly owned shares or ETFs.
Which trading platforms does Vantage support?
Vantage has one of its strongest propositions in platform choice, particularly for traders who want MetaTrader combined with TradingView.
Vantage supports MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, its proprietary Vantage App, web trading and copy-trading functionality. Vantage also allows supported accounts to connect with TradingView so orders can be executed from TradingView charts.
MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5
MT4 remains familiar to many forex traders and supports Expert Advisors for automated strategies.
MT5 offers a broader multi-asset setup. Vantage's MT5 service supports Expert Advisors, signals, hedging and several CFD asset classes.
TradingView
TradingView is the stronger option for traders who put charting, screening, alerts and visual analysis ahead of MetaTrader's established automation ecosystem.
Vantage allows users to connect supported accounts and trade directly from TradingView.
Vantage App and web platform
Vantage also offers a mobile app and browser-based trading platform. These give traders an alternative to a workflow built around MetaTrader.
Independent broker reviews published in 2026 have also identified Vantage's MetaTrader and TradingView support as one of its better features.
Are Vantage deposits and withdrawals reliable?
Vantage says withdrawal requests are generally processed within 24 hours. The money may then take one to seven business days, or longer, to reach you depending on the payment method.
Bank withdrawals generally take three to five business days or more after processing. Vantage says it does not charge a withdrawal fee for bank transfers, although correspondent and receiving banks may add their own charges.
Vantage applies standard anti-money-laundering checks. Funds will normally be returned to the payment account used for the original deposit. The broker may ask for additional documents before approving a withdrawal.
A delayed withdrawal is not automatically evidence that a broker is refusing to pay. Payment networks, AML checks and account verification can all add time. Repeated unexplained withdrawal problems are different and should be treated seriously.
What do Vantage customer reviews say?
Vantage has a strong aggregate Trustpilot score, but the spread of reviews gives more context than the headline rating.
In September 2026, Vantage Markets had a Trustpilot score of 4.4 out of 5 from roughly 15,000 reviews. Trustpilot also says that Vantage invites customers to leave reviews.
Positive reviews often mention the app, customer support and trading conditions. Negative reviews include complaints about support, account restrictions, deposits and withdrawals.
Trustpilot is one source of evidence, not proof of safety. The legal entity, regulator, client agreement and withdrawal terms carry more weight than an aggregate star rating.
Vantage Markets pros and cons
| Advantages | Drawbacks |
|---|---|
| Raw ECN spreads advertised from 0.0 pips | Raw pricing adds a per-lot commission |
| $50 entry point on Standard and Raw international accounts | Pro ECN requires a much larger $10,000 deposit |
| MT4 and MT5 support | Standard spreads are less compelling for cost-sensitive active traders |
| Direct TradingView integration | Products and protections vary by jurisdiction |
| 1,000+ CFD markets | Primarily suited to derivatives trading rather than direct asset ownership |
| Separate ASIC and FCA-regulated entities exist | UK traders must distinguish the FCA-regulated .co.uk operation from the global .com site |
| Proprietary app and copy trading | Customer-review evidence includes complaints around support and withdrawals |
Who is Vantage best for?
Vantage is best suited to active forex and CFD traders who want tight Raw pricing, MetaTrader automation and TradingView integration.
The broker is a good match for traders who already use MT4 or MT5 and want Expert Advisors alongside TradingView for charting and manual execution.
The international Raw ECN account also gives traders access to this pricing structure from $50, which is lower than the deposit required for the Pro ECN account.
Vantage is less suitable for people who want to buy and hold directly owned investments. It may also be a poor fit for traders whose first priority is the strongest available statutory investor protection, regardless of trading conditions.
Is Vantage good for beginners?
Vantage is accessible to beginners, but CFDs are not beginner-friendly products.
The $50 minimum deposit, demo account and commission-free Standard account make it easier to test the platform. Vantage also provides educational material and virtual-money demo trading.
These features do not remove the risk of leveraged CFD trading.
The FCA-regulated Vantage UK website reports that 70.98% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs and spread bets with the provider.
A beginner should assess two separate questions: whether Vantage provides a usable trading service, and whether CFD trading is suitable for them.
Is Vantage a scam?
No. It would be inaccurate to describe the entire Vantage Markets group as a scam. Vantage has identifiable regulated entities, including an ASIC-regulated Australian company and an FCA-regulated UK company.
That does not mean every Vantage website or account has the same regulatory status.
The FCA warning issued in April 2026 about vantagemarkets.com means UK users should take extra care not to confuse the global website with Vantage Global Prime LLP, the separately FCA-authorised UK company.
Check the legal company in the client agreement against the relevant regulator's register before depositing.
Vantage Review 2026: final verdict
Vantage Markets is a good broker for the right trader, particularly active forex and CFD traders using Raw ECN pricing, MT4, MT5 or TradingView. Its $50 international account entry point, Raw spreads from 0.0 pips and 1,000+ CFD instruments give it a genuinely competitive product proposition.
The biggest caveat is not the trading software or account selection. It is entity-level regulation.
Vantage Global Prime Pty Ltd is ASIC regulated in Australia, and Vantage Global Prime LLP is FCA regulated in the UK. The international Vantage website can onboard customers through different entities with different protections. UK traders should be particularly aware that the FCA issued a warning concerning vantagemarkets.com in April 2026 and should not assume that an account opened through the global website carries FCA protection.
Verdict: shortlist Vantage if low-cost CFD trading and platform flexibility matter to you, especially if you intend to use the Raw ECN account. Before opening the account, confirm exactly which Vantage company will hold your funds and which regulator applies.
Methodology: This Vantage review uses current Vantage account, pricing, withdrawal and regulatory documentation, regulator information, independent broker reviews and public customer-review data. It does not claim first-hand live-account testing that has not been performed.
