What to check first
Confirm regional availability, the regulated entity, leverage limits and rollover costs. Forex and CFD losses can accumulate quickly.
Overview
Tradeview Markets is a legitimate, regulated multi-asset broker with competitive forex pricing, a unusually broad choice of trading platforms and access to forex, CFDs, stocks and futures. It is best suited to experienced and active traders rather than beginners.
The biggest issue is not whether Tradeview Markets exists or holds regulatory licences. It does. The more important question is which Tradeview legal entity will hold your account, because regulation, leverage and investor protection differ significantly between jurisdictions.
Tradeview Ltd is licensed by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, while European clients may be served by MFSA-regulated Tradeview Europe Ltd. Tradeview also operates through other regional entities. For that reason, traders should confirm the exact legal entity on their account agreement before depositing money.
Our verdict: Tradeview Markets is worth considering if low-cost execution, multiple professional trading platforms and access to several asset classes matter to you. Traders whose first priority is the strongest possible retail investor protection should compare the regulatory protection attached to their specific Tradeview entity before opening an account.

Is Tradeview Markets Legit and Regulated?
Yes. Tradeview Markets operates through regulated legal entities, but the protection you receive depends on the entity serving your account.
Tradeview Ltd appears on the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority's list of Securities Investment Business licensees as a broker-dealer under licence 585163. The licence dates from 4 April 2012.
Tradeview's regulatory disclosures also list these entities:
| Entity | Jurisdiction | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Tradeview Ltd | Cayman Islands | Regulated by CIMA as a securities broker-dealer |
| Tradeview Europe Ltd | Malta | Investment firm regulated by the MFSA |
| TVM Global Ltd | Labuan, Malaysia | Licensed by Labuan FSA as a money broker |
| Tradeview Financial Markets S.A.C. | Peru | Registered with SUNARP and operates under Peruvian company law |
Tradeview Europe Ltd says it is registered in Malta under company number C93990 and regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority under authorisation ID TRDV. It also says it can provide investment services in specified EU and EEA markets under MiFID II.
A client contracting with Tradeview Europe Ltd is therefore not operating under exactly the same regulatory framework as a client contracting with Tradeview Ltd in the Cayman Islands.
How Safe Is Tradeview Markets?
Tradeview Markets has client-fund safeguards and regulated entities, but its safety profile needs to be assessed at entity level.
Tradeview says that client money is held separately from its operating funds in segregated accounts.
Tradeview Europe also states that it participates in Malta's Investor Compensation Scheme. The scheme can compensate an eligible accepted claim for 90% of the net loss, up to a maximum of €20,000, if the investment firm cannot meet its obligations.
That protection should not be assumed for an account held by another Tradeview entity. Confirm the compensation arrangements in the documents for your own account. Tradeview also has regulatory history that prospective clients should understand. In June 2023, the Alberta Securities Commission added Tradeview Forex, also operating as Tradeview Ltd, to its Investment Caution List. The reason given was that the company was not registered to trade in or advise on securities or derivatives in Alberta.
Québec's Autorité des marchés financiers states that Tradeview Ltd is not registered with the AMF or authorised to solicit investors in Québec.
In October 2017, Spain's CNMV issued a warning about Tradeview Ltd and its websites because the entity was not authorised to provide investment services in Spain at that time. That warning predates the current Malta-based Tradeview Europe operation and should not be treated as a statement about Tradeview Europe Ltd's present regulatory status.
Before opening an account, check the company name and regulator on the client agreement. The Tradeview Markets brand alone does not tell you which protections apply.
Tradeview Markets Account Types and Trading Costs
Tradeview Markets currently offers three main forex pricing models: EDGE ILC, ILC and XLev.
EDGE ILC
- Spread
- From 0.0 pips
- Commission
- From $4 round turn
- Minimum trade
- 0.10 lot
- Maximum leverage
- 1:100
ILC
- Spread
- From 0.0 pips
- Commission
- $5 round turn
- Minimum trade
- 0.10 lot
- Maximum leverage
- 1:200
XLev
- Spread
- Competitive spread
- Commission
- No commission
- Minimum trade
- 0.01 lot
- Maximum leverage
- 1:400
EDGE ILC and ILC use raw-spread pricing. The broker charges a separate commission rather than placing the full trading cost in the spread.
XLev has no separate commission. Its trading cost is included in the spread, so the total cost is harder to compare from the headline figures alone. The ILC account is relatively straightforward to assess because the stated commission is $5 per round turn. A one-standard-lot round trip also carries any spread charged at execution.
EDGE ILC advertises a lower round-turn commission from $4, although Tradeview says the commission can vary by instrument.
Tradeview's general trading page lists a minimum deposit from $100. Its dedicated ILC forex page currently lists a $1,000 minimum deposit. The correct requirement depends on the account and product, so do not assume that every account is available from $100.
Which Tradeview Account Is Best?
EDGE ILC suits cost-conscious active traders, while XLev is more suitable for traders who need a 0.01-lot minimum and prefer pricing without a separate commission.
EDGE ILC combines spreads from 0.0 pips with Tradeview's lowest advertised forex commission. The drawbacks are its 0.10-lot minimum trade size and maximum leverage of 1:100.
ILC keeps the raw-spread structure and offers leverage of up to 1:200.
XLev allows trades from 0.01 lot and does not charge a separate commission. Its spread structure is less transparent from the published headline figures, so compare live costs before choosing it.
Leverage should not be the deciding factor. It lowers the margin needed to open a position, but it also allows losses to build faster.
Tradeview Markets Trading Platforms
Platform choice is one of Tradeview Markets' strongest advantages.
Many forex brokers effectively give traders a choice between MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Tradeview supports different software for forex, CFD, stock and futures traders.
Its current platform range includes MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, EQView, Sterling Trader Pro, DAS Trader, CQG Desktop and Takion, depending on the market being traded.
MetaTrader 5 supports multi-asset trading, automated strategies through Expert Advisors and MQL5, market-depth data and desktop or mobile trading.
cTrader provides ECN-oriented forex and CFD execution, advanced order functionality, customisable charts and cTrader Copy. Tradeview says its cTrader pricing connects to more than 52 liquidity providers.
Stock traders get more specialist choices. Tradeview offers direct-market-access platforms including Sterling Trader Pro, DAS Trader and Takion, with access to US equity markets.
That makes Tradeview more interesting for active or professional-style traders who have already chosen their preferred execution software.
What Can You Trade With Tradeview Markets?
Tradeview Markets offers forex, CFDs, stocks, futures, indices, commodities, metals, energy products and selected cryptocurrency exposure.
The broker currently advertises more than 1,000 instruments.
Futures access includes exchanges such as CME, CBOT, CBOE, NYMEX, COMEX, EUREX and ICE through supported platforms. Tradeview lists futures commissions starting at $0.49 per side for micro contracts and $0.99 per side for standard contracts. Clearing, routing, exchange, market-data and applicable software costs may apply on top. Stock pricing depends on the platform. Tradeview currently publishes starting commissions ranging from $0.0025 per share on EQView to $0.01 per share on its specified MT5 stock account. Several professional platforms also have separate software costs.
The product range is wide, but traders should assess each market separately. A forex account, a direct stock account and a futures account can have different fees, platforms and funding requirements.
Tradeview Markets Deposits and Withdrawals
Tradeview supports bank transfers, cards and digital wallets. Some countries also have access to cryptocurrency wallets and Apple Pay.
The broker says deposits usually reach an account within several hours to three business days.
Withdrawals generally need to use the original funding method. For card and digital-wallet deposits, the amount returned through that method cannot exceed the original deposit. Profits may therefore need to be withdrawn by bank transfer or another supported method.
Tradeview says withdrawal requests are usually processed within 24 hours. Bank transfers can take up to three days after processing.
Payment providers, compliance checks and the receiving bank can affect the final timing.
What Do Tradeview Markets Customer Reviews Say?
Public reviews of Tradeview Markets are mostly positive on Trustpilot, but reports on other platforms are more mixed.
As of September 2026, Trustpilot shows a 4.6/5 rating from 437 reviews. It reports that 73% of reviews are rated five stars and 8% are rated one star. Recent positive comments often mention execution, support and withdrawals. Some reviews are marked as invited.
Forex Peace Army shows a lower rating of 3.89/5 from 150 reviews. Its page also contains serious complaints from some traders about account deductions during 2025. Tradeview disputes those allegations and says the dispute involved the recovery of negative balances linked to a group of traders using arbitrage strategies.
Forex Peace Army's moderation team also removed the ratings from at least two highly positive submissions after identifying links between the reviewers and Tradeview. The evidence cited included company email or IP information.
These reviews do not, by themselves, establish that Tradeview is unsafe or that every complaint is accurate. They do show why the Trustpilot headline score should not be the only evidence used to assess the broker.

Who Is Tradeview Markets Best For?
Tradeview Markets is best suited to experienced traders who value execution choice over simplicity.
It may suit:
Tradeview is less suitable for someone who wants a basic beginner investing app. Its account types, legal entities, leverage options and platform range create more decisions than a new trader may need.
Higher leverage should also not be the main reason to choose an offshore Tradeview account. The regulator, compensation arrangements and entity named in the agreement matter more than the size of the position available for a given amount of margin.
Is Tradeview Markets a Scam?
No. The information reviewed for this Tradeview Markets review does not support describing Tradeview Markets as a scam.
Tradeview Ltd holds a verifiable CIMA securities broker-dealer licence, and the group operates other regulated entities, including Tradeview Europe Ltd.
Regulation does not mean that every account has the same protection or that a trader will never have a dispute with the broker. The relevant question is whether the Tradeview entity available in your country provides the level of oversight, account terms and trading conditions you require.
What Is the Tradeview Markets Minimum Deposit?
Tradeview Markets advertises accounts starting from $100, but the minimum deposit varies by account and market.
The dedicated forex page currently lists a $1,000 minimum for the classic ILC account. Futures accounts start from $500 on MT5 and $1,000 on CQG and MultiCharts.
Check the exact product terms before depositing.
What Tradeview actually asks to open, by account
The general trading page advertises $100. Every account page that names its own figure asks for more than that, so the number to check is the one on the account you intend to open.
Does Tradeview Markets Accept US Clients?
No. Tradeview Markets states that its products and services are not offered to US Persons.
Tradeview's New York office and its access to US-market products do not mean that US residents can open standard Tradeview Markets brokerage accounts.
Final Verdict: Is Tradeview Markets Worth Using?
Tradeview Markets is worth considering for experienced and active traders who want raw forex pricing, MT4 or cTrader access, professional stock-trading software or direct futures access.
Its main strengths are platform choice, execution infrastructure and access to several markets through one broker group.
The main concern is regulatory fragmentation. A Tradeview Europe Ltd account under the MFSA framework is not equivalent to an account held through Tradeview Ltd in the Cayman Islands or another regional entity. Before opening an account, confirm:
1. Which legal entity will hold your funds 2. Which regulator supervises that entity 3. What compensation protection applies 4. What the complete trading cost is for your chosen account 5. Whether the product is available in your country
Tradeview Markets deserves a place on the shortlist if those terms fit your requirements. If maximum retail investor protection matters more than platform choice or leverage, compare Tradeview with brokers offering stronger protection in your jurisdiction.
Information checked September 2026. Trading forex, CFDs and other leveraged products involves substantial risk. Regulatory status, pricing and product availability can change by country and account type.
