Can I trade in one currency and report in another?

You set one Base currency on your profile. There is no separate reporting-currency setting. When a broker export needs it, you also set File Currency on import. Amounts convert through USD when currencies differ.

Base currency

  1. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. On the profile form, choose a value under Base currency.
  4. Save your profile.

Available base currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD, CHF, CNY.

If no value is saved, it defaults to USD.

File Currency on import

Some brokers ask for File Currency during file upload. Match the value to your file, not to a separate reporting preference.

It appears for FTMO, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and Match Trader. When the field shows, it is required.

Options include USD, EUR, AUD, GBP, CAD, INR, JPY, CHF, CZK, PLN, HUF, SGD, HKD, NZD, SEK, NOK, DKK, ZAR, MXN and BRL.

How currency conversion works

Conversion goes through USD as the middle step: source currency to USD, then USD to the target. If source and target are the same, the amount stays unchanged.

No separate reporting currency

Use Base currency for your profile currency, and File Currency only when import asks for the currency of that broker file.
