What to check first
Confirm regional availability, the regulated entity, leverage limits and rollover costs. Forex and CFD losses can accumulate quickly.
Overview
PU Prime is a legitimate multi-asset CFD broker with competitive trading accounts, MT4 and MT5 support, more than 1,000 advertised instruments and leverage that can reach 1:1000. However, we would not recommend PU Prime without first checking the exact legal entity your account will be opened under.
That distinction matters because PU Prime operates through several entities in different jurisdictions, and the regulatory protection attached to one account may be very different from another. The UK Financial Conduct Authority, for example, states that Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited is not authorised by the FCA and may be targeting UK customers. The FCA warning was last updated on 20 April 2026.
There are also current reputation concerns worth taking seriously. Trustpilot currently shows PU Prime's rating as unavailable because of a breach of its guidelines, says fake reviews have been detected and removed, and displays a substantial volume of both positive and negative customer feedback. Recent negative reviews include allegations involving delayed withdrawals and account reviews. User reviews do not prove misconduct, but this is a meaningful risk signal when choosing where to deposit trading capital.
Our verdict: PU Prime has attractive trading conditions, particularly for active CFD and forex traders, but regulation should be evaluated at the entity level, not the brand level. If PU Prime cannot clearly show that your specific account will sit with an entity appropriately authorised for customers in your country, choose another broker.

Is PU Prime legit?
PU Prime is a real operating brokerage brand, but whether it is appropriately regulated for you depends on the legal entity serving your account.
PU Prime currently identifies several entities within the group:
- PU Prime Trading Pty Ltd in Australia. PU Prime states that the company holds Australian Financial Services Licence 410681. Australia's ABN Lookup confirms PU Prime Trading Pty Ltd is an active Australian company.
- PU Prime Limited in Seychelles, regulated by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles under licence SD050.
- PU Prime Ltd in Mauritius, regulated by the Financial Services Commission under licence GB23202672.
- PU Prime (Pty) Ltd in South Africa, listed as an FSCA-authorised financial services provider under FSP 52218. PU Prime also states that this entity acts as an intermediary rather than the issuer or market maker for the derivative products.
- PU Prime Financial Services LLC in the United Arab Emirates, licensed by the UAE Capital Market Authority under licence 20200000388 for Category 5 introduction and promotion activities. This is not the same thing as being the product issuer for every PU Prime trading account.
That last point is important.
Seeing four or five regulator logos on a broker's website does not mean your individual account receives the protection of every regulator listed.
Before depositing, check the company name in your client agreement and establish:
- Which legal entity is your counterparty or product provider?
- Which regulator supervises that entity?
- Is that entity authorised to serve clients in your country?
- What compensation, complaints or dispute-resolution mechanisms actually apply to you?
That is more useful than simply asking whether PU Prime is "regulated".
Is PU Prime FCA regulated in the UK?
No. PU Prime is not FCA authorised.
The UK Financial Conduct Authority has a warning specifically covering PU prime / Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited. The FCA says the firm is not authorised by it and may be targeting people in the UK.
The warning was first published on 10 May 2023 and was still present with an update dated 20 April 2026.
For a UK resident, this materially changes our verdict.
If FCA authorisation and UK regulatory protection are important to you, we would choose an FCA-authorised broker rather than opening an offshore PU Prime account.
Denmark's Finanstilsynet issued a similar warning in May 2023, stating that Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited did not have permission to provide the relevant investment services to Danish customers and was not supervised by the Danish authority.
Is PU Prime safe?
PU Prime has genuine positive regulatory signals, but we would classify it as a broker that requires jurisdiction-specific due diligence rather than one we would recommend unconditionally.
The positive side is straightforward. PU Prime operates identifiable corporate entities, publishes legal documentation, provides negative balance protection and lists licences across several jurisdictions.
The concerns are equally real.
First, regulatory protection is fragmented across different entities.
Second, both the FCA and Danish financial regulator have published warnings concerning the Seychelles entity's activities in their respective markets.
Third, PU Prime's Trustpilot profile currently carries an unusual warning signal. Trustpilot says the company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and states that it has detected and removed fake reviews. The profile currently contains more than 1,800 reviews, with both strongly positive and strongly negative experiences represented.
This does not establish that PU Prime is a scam. Reviews are allegations and individual experiences, not regulatory findings.
It does mean we would not deposit a substantial amount based purely on affiliate reviews, star ratings or the broker's marketing.
A sensible PU Prime safety check
Before funding a live account:
- Download your actual client agreement.
- Identify the legal company named as your contracting entity.
- Verify its licence independently.
- Confirm whether that entity can legally serve customers in your country.
- Complete KYC before transferring significant funds.
- Deposit a relatively small amount initially.
- Make a test trade.
- Submit a test withdrawal.
- Only increase capital after the complete deposit-to-withdrawal process works as expected.
This will not remove broker risk. It gives you more evidence than a review score or marketing claim.

PU Prime states that all four accounts provide access to more than 1,000 tradable instruments. They can offer leverage of up to 1:1000, although the actual limit depends on the product, account and applicable trading rules.
Which PU Prime account is best?
For most casual traders, the Standard account is the simplest option. For active forex traders, the Prime account is potentially more attractive because its commission-plus-raw-spread pricing can produce lower transaction costs.
The ECN account has the cheapest advertised commission but requires a $10,000 minimum deposit, so the additional capital requirement needs to justify the saving.
Here is a useful way to compare the advertised pricing.
A standard lot of EUR/USD has a pip value of approximately $10 when USD is the quote currency.
At PU Prime's advertised minimum:
- Standard account at 1.3 pips costs approximately $13 per lot from spread alone.
- Prime account at 0.0 pips plus $3.50 commission each way costs approximately $7 round trip per lot.
- ECN at 0.0 pips plus $1 each way costs approximately $2 round trip per lot.
That makes the Prime account's commission equivalent to roughly 0.7 pips per standard lot, while ECN commission is approximately 0.2 pips.
However, these figures use PU Prime's advertised "from" spreads, not guaranteed average spreads. Real trading costs depend on the instrument, liquidity, session, volatility and actual spreads when your orders execute. The minimum quoted spread should therefore never be treated as your expected average cost.
PU Prime spreads and fees
PU Prime's advertised pricing is most competitive on the Prime and ECN accounts, but traders should compare the spread and commission together.
Current advertised pricing includes:
- Standard spreads from 1.3 pips with no trading commission
- Prime spreads from 0.0 pips with a $3.50 per-side commission per standard lot
- ECN spreads from 0.0 pips with a $1 per-side commission per standard lot
- Cent spreads from 1.3 pips without commission
Overnight positions may incur swap or rollover charges.
PU Prime states that it does not charge account-opening, account-maintenance or inactivity fees. Accounts inactive for 90 days or more may be archived instead.
Cost of one EUR/USD lot by PU Prime account
Advertised spread at $10 per pip on a standard lot, plus commission on both sides. The cheapest account costs a sixth of the dearest, and asks for $10,000 to open rather than $50.
How much leverage does PU Prime offer?
PU Prime advertises account leverage up to 1:1000, but 1:1000 does not apply universally to every product or every customer.
PU Prime says Standard, Prime, Islamic, ECN and Cent accounts have default leverage of 1:500, with selectable account leverage between 1:100 and 1:1000 where applicable.
Forex pairs and selected gold products may follow the account leverage setting. Other products can have fixed leverage limits. For example, PU Prime currently states that silver is capped at 1:100 while palladium and platinum are capped at 1:20.
High leverage should not automatically be treated as an advantage.
At 1:1000, a very small adverse price movement can produce a large percentage change in account equity. Traders attracted primarily by maximum leverage should calculate liquidation and stop-out risk before considering potential returns.
What can you trade with PU Prime?
PU Prime advertises more than 1,000 instruments across several CFD markets.
Available categories include:
- Forex
- Stock CFDs
- Equity indices
- Commodities
- Precious metals
- ETFs
- Bonds
- Cryptocurrencies in supported markets
- Synthetic indices
The exact products and leverage limits can vary by entity and jurisdiction.
PU Prime is therefore more than a forex-only broker, but it is mainly aimed at traders seeking leveraged CFD exposure. It is not the same as buying and owning the underlying shares or ETFs.
What trading platforms does PU Prime support?
PU Prime supports MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, web trading and its own mobile applications.
MetaTrader 4 remains useful for forex traders who rely on existing indicators, scripts or Expert Advisors.
MetaTrader 5 provides broader multi-asset functionality, additional order types, more timeframes and a more advanced strategy tester. PU Prime currently positions MT5 as its flagship MetaTrader platform.
Both MT4 and MT5 are available across desktop, web and mobile environments through PU Prime.
For automated traders already operating MetaTrader EAs, this is one of PU Prime's stronger features.
Does PU Prime allow withdrawals?
Yes. PU Prime offers several withdrawal methods and publishes estimated processing times, but prospective customers should examine the withdrawal terms and independent feedback before depositing.
After a withdrawal has been approved and deducted from the trading account, PU Prime gives these estimated receiving times:
| Withdrawal method | PU Prime's estimated receiving time |
|---|---|
| International bank wire | 2 to 5 business days |
| Credit/debit card | 2 to 5 business days |
| E-wallet | Immediate |
| Selected local bank transfers | Usually 1 to 3 business days |
Banks and payment providers can add delays.
PU Prime currently lists a general minimum withdrawal of 40 units of the account currency. International bank transfer minimums differ according to the number of withdrawals made during the month.
PU Prime normally does not charge its own withdrawal handling fee, although third-party charges may apply. Subsequent international bank-transfer withdrawals in the same month may incur a 20-unit handling charge.
What should you know before withdrawing?
PU Prime requires customers to complete KYC and may request additional documents during a withdrawal review.
Its trading terms also allow it to act against activity it considers suspicious or prohibited. PU Prime states that possible measures include restricting an account, reversing relevant profits, suspending services and withholding withdrawals where contractually or legally permitted.
This matters to traders using aggressive arbitrage, latency-sensitive systems, extreme leverage around market gaps or other strategies that depend heavily on execution conditions.
Read the trading agreement before using the strategy. Do not wait until after a profitable trade to discover how the broker interprets those clauses.
PU Prime withdrawal complaints and customer reviews
There are enough recent withdrawal-related complaints that we would treat them as a due-diligence issue, while stopping short of treating unverified customer allegations as established facts.
As of September 2026, Trustpilot displays recent reviews alleging account freezes, additional account reviews and withdrawal delays. PU Prime has publicly responded to several complainants and states that additional identity or compliance reviews can sometimes be required.
The useful distinction is:
Verified fact: PU Prime's agreements permit additional compliance reviews and certain account restrictions under specified circumstances.
Verified fact: Trustpilot currently flags PU Prime's profile for a guidelines breach and says fake reviews have been detected and removed.
Unverified: Individual allegations about why a specific customer's funds or profits were delayed.
That is a much more defensible basis for evaluating risk than declaring the broker either completely safe or a scam.
PU Prime pros and cons
Advantages
- Standard accounts can be opened with a relatively low $50 trading minimum.
- Cent accounts start at $20.
- Prime and ECN accounts advertise spreads from 0.0 pips.
- MT4 and MT5 are supported.
- More than 1,000 instruments are advertised.
- High leverage is available in eligible jurisdictions and products.
- No general inactivity fee is currently stated.
- Negative balance protection is offered.
- Multiple regulated corporate entities exist.
Disadvantages
- Regulatory protection varies considerably between PU Prime entities.
- PU Prime is not FCA authorised.
- The FCA maintains a warning concerning Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited.
- Denmark's regulator has also warned about the Seychelles entity serving Danish customers without the required authorisation.
- Trustpilot currently withholds the company's rating because of a guidelines breach and says it has removed fake reviews.
- There are recent customer allegations concerning withdrawals and account reviews.
- The Prime account requires $1,000.
- The cheapest ECN pricing requires a $10,000 minimum deposit.
- "From 0.0 pips" describes a minimum spread, not an average trading cost.
Who is PU Prime best for?
PU Prime is most relevant to experienced forex and CFD traders who want MetaTrader, a wide range of markets and high leverage, and who have independently checked the entity serving their jurisdiction.
It may suit traders looking for:
- MT4 or MT5
- Expert Advisor support
- Raw-spread account options
- Multiple CFD asset classes
- High leverage where legally available
- Cent accounts for smaller position sizing
PU Prime is less suitable for traders who place a high value on strong local regulatory protection.
We would not choose it for UK customers because PU Prime lacks FCA authorisation and the FCA maintains a warning concerning Pacific Union (Seychelles) Limited.
Is PU Prime a scam?
The available evidence does not justify simply labelling PU Prime a scam. PU Prime operates identifiable companies and regulated entities, but there are legitimate regulatory and reputation issues that prospective customers should investigate before depositing.
The more useful conclusion is that PU Prime's risk profile depends heavily on which entity serves you.
A licence held by PU Prime Trading Pty Ltd in Australia, for example, does not automatically provide an offshore Seychelles customer with Australian regulatory protection.
Likewise, being regulated somewhere does not mean a company is authorised to solicit customers everywhere.
That is precisely why the FCA and Danish warnings matter.
Is PU Prime regulated?
Yes. PU Prime operates through entities listed as regulated in Australia, Seychelles, Mauritius, South Africa and the UAE. However, each licence covers particular activities, and not every licence protects every PU Prime customer.
Check the exact company named in your client agreement before depositing.
What is the minimum deposit at PU Prime?
The PU Prime Cent account starts at $20, while the Standard account requires $50.
The Prime account requires $1,000. The ECN account requires $10,000.
Does PU Prime offer negative balance protection?
PU Prime states that it provides negative balance protection. Under its terms, qualifying negative balances caused by stop-out or market conditions may be reset to zero.
This does not remove the need for risk controls. PU Prime's terms also prohibit deliberate attempts to exploit its negative balance protection.
Is PU Prime worth using?
PU Prime is worth considering for its trading conditions, but not without checking the regulatory entity first.
Its main strengths are MT4 and MT5 support, broad CFD coverage, several account types, raw-spread options and high leverage where available.
The limits are just as important. Protection differs by entity, PU Prime is not FCA authorised, and current external reputation signals deserve attention.
If the local PU Prime entity is authorised for your country, you understand the trading agreement and a small deposit-and-withdrawal test works normally, the broker becomes a more reasonable option.
If you cannot establish who your legal counterparty is, do not fund the account.
That check matters more than a 0.0-pip spread advertised on the homepage.
