Pepperstone is the best overall Vantage alternative for most active forex and CFD traders. It offers the same core MetaTrader experience, adds cTrader, supports TradingView, provides raw-spread pricing and operates through regulated entities in multiple major jurisdictions. For traders specifically leaving Vantage because they want a broader platform choice without completely changing how they trade, Pepperstone is the most natural switch.

That does not make Pepperstone the best choice for everyone. IG is stronger for sheer market breadth, IC Markets is particularly well suited to scalpers and automated trading, Fusion Markets is compelling for cost-conscious traders, and Interactive Brokers is the better move if you want to graduate from a CFD-focused broker to direct access across stocks, options, futures, currencies and other asset classes.

The critical point is to compare the specific legal entity, account type and trading conditions available in your country, not just the broker's global brand. Vantage itself makes this distinction explicit. Its international site states that accounts opened with Vantage Global Limited fall under Vanuatu regulation rather than UK FCA protection, while its separate UK business, Vantage Global Prime LLP, is authorised by the FCA.

Availability, leverage, instruments, pricing and investor protections vary by country and legal entity.

1. Pepperstone: best overall alternative to Vantage

The reason is simple. Switching from Vantage to Pepperstone does not force you to rebuild your entire trading workflow.

Pepperstone supports MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView and cTrader, as well as its own trading platform. Its platform range covers manual trading, Expert Advisors, algorithmic strategies and advanced chart-based trading.

Vantage also supports MT4, MT5 and TradingView, so the biggest platform differentiator is cTrader. Traders who prefer cTrader's interface, order functionality or automation tools therefore have a concrete reason to choose Pepperstone instead.

Pepperstone also operates regulated entities overseen by authorities including the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK, Australian Securities and Investments Commission, Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, BaFin and Dubai Financial Services Authority, among others.

Is Pepperstone cheaper than Vantage?

Not automatically.

Vantage's international Raw ECN account advertises spreads from 0.0 pips and charges US$3 per standard lot per side, equivalent to US$6 before spread costs for a round-turn standard lot. The account currently lists a US$50 minimum deposit on the international site.

Pepperstone's Razor pricing also offers raw spreads from 0.0, but its published MT4 pricing starts from US$3.50 per lot per side in the relevant account example.

So Pepperstone does not win simply because its headline commission is lower. It wins the overall comparison because of the combination of platform choice, regulatory footprint and similarity to the Vantage trading experience.

Choose Pepperstone if: you like Vantage's trading model but want cTrader, more platform flexibility or a different regulated entity.

2. IG: best Vantage alternative for market range and established infrastructure

IG provides access to more than 17,000 global markets, while its forex offering covers more than 90 currency pairs. IG also states that it has more than 50 years of operating experience.

That makes IG particularly relevant to traders who have outgrown a narrower forex and CFD setup and want to consolidate more trading opportunities with one provider.

The trade-off is that IG's platform ecosystem is different from the typical raw-spread MetaTrader broker model. A trader heavily dependent on cTrader, a specific MetaTrader EA setup or an ECN-style workflow may find Pepperstone or IC Markets a more direct replacement.

Choose IG if: your reason for leaving Vantage is broader market access, research and a more established multi-market trading environment.

3. IC Markets: best Vantage alternative for scalping and automated trading

IC Markets Global explicitly positions its Raw Spread infrastructure around high-volume traders, scalpers and trading robots. The broker currently advertises more than 2,250 tradable instruments, spreads from 0.0 pips and average execution speeds below 40 milliseconds on its global site. It also states that more than two-thirds of trades on its matching engine come from automated trading systems.

Its cTrader environment includes depth-of-market functionality, advanced order types and automation capabilities.

That makes IC Markets a logical alternative for someone who was using Vantage primarily as an execution venue rather than because of its proprietary app or copy-trading ecosystem.

Check which IC Markets entity you are joining

This matters.

IC Markets EU is regulated by CySEC under licence 362/18, while IC Markets Global operates through Raw Trading Ltd under the Seychelles Financial Services Authority. Those are not interchangeable regulatory arrangements.

A comparison saying simply "IC Markets is regulated" therefore leaves out information the user actually needs.

Choose IC Markets if: your priority is raw-spread trading, scalping, EAs, robots or low-latency execution.

4. Fusion Markets: best Vantage alternative for cost-conscious traders

Fusion Markets' Zero account currently advertises spreads starting from 0 pips with a published US$4.50 commission, while its Classic account starts from 0.9 pips with no separate commission. Fusion also supports MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView.

That platform combination makes Fusion Markets much more comparable to Vantage than a conventional stockbroker would be.

Fusion also offers more than 90 currency pairs, alongside metals, indices, energy products, cryptocurrencies and share CFDs.

There is an important regulatory caveat.

Australian clients can trade through an ASIC-regulated Fusion Markets entity. Its international operations also include entities regulated in Vanuatu and Seychelles. The exact entity assigned to you therefore matters when comparing Fusion Markets with Vantage, Pepperstone or another broker.

Choose Fusion Markets if: trading costs are your main consideration and the legal entity available in your jurisdiction is acceptable to you.

5. Interactive Brokers: best alternative if you have outgrown CFD brokers

This is a different type of alternative.

Interactive Brokers provides access to stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds, funds and other products across more than 160 global markets from a unified platform.

Its pricing model is also different. For example, Interactive Brokers publishes direct commission schedules for stocks, options, futures and spot currencies rather than centring the proposition around a Standard versus Raw ECN CFD account.

That makes Interactive Brokers less suitable for someone whose requirement is simply:

"Give me something almost identical to Vantage."

But it becomes much more attractive when the actual requirement is:

"I want a serious multi-asset account and no longer want my trading setup centred on leveraged CFDs."

Choose Interactive Brokers if: you trade or invest across underlying shares, options, futures, bonds and currencies and want much broader direct market access.

Which Vantage alternative should you choose?

The right replacement depends primarily on why you want to leave Vantage.

If your priority is... Best Vantage alternative
Closest all-round replacement Pepperstone
cTrader access Pepperstone
Scalping and Expert Advisors IC Markets
Lowest-cost trading setup Fusion Markets
Very broad CFD market access IG
Stocks, options and futures alongside currencies Interactive Brokers
Stronger local regulatory protection Compare the exact regulated entity available in your country

This is a more useful way to compare brokers than simply giving every provider a score out of ten.

A trader running MT5 Expert Advisors has different requirements from an investor buying international equities. Likewise, a trader moving away from Vantage because of regulatory concerns should not switch to another broker's offshore entity purely because its spreads are marginally tighter.

What should you check before switching from Vantage?

1. Which company will legally hold your account?

Vantage illustrates why this matters particularly well. Its international website explicitly warns visitors that they may be opening an account with Vantage Global Limited under the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission, rather than receiving the protections attached to its FCA-regulated UK business.

Pepperstone, IC Markets and Fusion Markets also operate through different entities in different jurisdictions.

Compare the entity first, then compare the broker.

2. What is the real all-in trading cost?

Do not compare brokers using "spreads from 0.0 pips" alone.

For a raw-spread account, your cost can include:

  • Bid-ask spread
  • Commission on opening the trade
  • Commission on closing the trade
  • Overnight financing or swap costs
  • Currency conversion
  • Deposit or withdrawal charges where applicable
  • Slippage

Two brokers can both advertise spreads from zero while producing different actual trading costs.

For an active strategy, calculate costs using the instruments and trading sizes you actually use.

3. Does the broker support your existing platform?

Migrating an automated strategy is more painful than migrating a discretionary trader.

If your workflow depends on MetaTrader Expert Advisors, custom indicators, cTrader Automate or TradingView, platform compatibility can be more important than a small difference in headline spread.

Pepperstone and Fusion Markets offer MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView, making them particularly flexible replacements for Vantage.

4. Are you trading CFDs or trying to invest?

This distinction changes the answer completely.

Vantage, Pepperstone, IC Markets and Fusion Markets are natural comparisons for leveraged forex and CFD trading.

Interactive Brokers becomes more relevant when the goal is direct multi-asset market access rather than finding another CFD broker.

Do not choose the "best Vantage alternative" until you have defined which of those two jobs the account needs to perform.

Is Vantage still worth using?

Vantage currently offers MT4, MT5, TradingView and its mobile platform. Its international Raw ECN account advertises spreads from 0.0 pips, a US$50 minimum deposit and US$3 commission per standard lot per side.

The more important question is whether those conditions remain competitive for your specific trading style and jurisdiction.

If Vantage already gives you the platform, execution model, costs and regulatory arrangement you want, switching brokers for the sake of switching achieves nothing.

If one of those requirements is missing, the alternatives become much easier to rank.

What is the closest alternative to Vantage?

Both brokers support MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and TradingView and offer raw-spread account structures. Pepperstone additionally supports cTrader and operates through a broad range of regulated entities.

Is IC Markets better than Vantage?

IC Markets Global specifically targets high-volume traders, scalpers and trading robots with low-latency infrastructure and raw-spread pricing.

The better broker therefore depends on execution requirements and the regulatory entity available to you.

Is Pepperstone better than Vantage?

Pepperstone provides MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView, while Vantage's Raw ECN page publishes a US$3 per-side standard-lot commission compared with Pepperstone's published Razor example starting from US$3.50 per side.

Cost should still be measured using actual average spreads and your own trading volume rather than commission alone.

What is the best Vantage alternative in 2026?

It is close enough to Vantage that most MetaTrader traders can migrate without radically changing their workflow, while cTrader support gives Pepperstone an additional platform advantage.

Choose IC Markets instead if scalping or automated execution is the priority. Choose IG for market breadth. Choose Fusion Markets when cost is the main driver. Choose Interactive Brokers when you have outgrown the retail CFD model and want access to a substantially broader range of underlying global markets.

Whichever broker you choose, verify the exact legal entity, client protections, current costs and product availability in your jurisdiction before funding an account.

CFDs and leveraged trading products carry a high risk of loss. Broker availability, leverage limits, investor protections and trading conditions vary by jurisdiction.
