Overview

The5ers Futures is a low-cost futures evaluation with end-of-day drawdown, no monthly subscription, no activation fee and a scaling path up to $500,000.

The programme suits disciplined traders who can spread profits across several sessions. It is less suitable if you need NinjaTrader or Tradovate, rely on occasional large winning days, or want to withdraw large profits quickly.

The main advantages are the low entry price, 4% end-of-day maximum loss, news trading, an 80% trader profit split and access to scaling. The main restrictions are the 40% consistency rule, payout caps, BlackArrow as the only supported platform and an extra 2.5% daily drawdown limit on the $100K and $150K accounts. For most traders, the $50K Day Trade account offers the best balance between price, loss allowance and trading capacity.

The5ers currently offers Day Trade and Swing futures evaluations. Day Trade accounts require positions to be closed before the end of the trading session, while Swing accounts allow limited overnight exposure.

How much does The5ers Futures cost?

The5ers Futures Day Trade evaluations currently start at $59 for a $25,000 account.

Account size: $25K. Day Trade price: $59. Swing price: $69. 6% evaluation target: $1,500. 4% maximum loss: $1,000

Account size: $50K. Day Trade price: $100. Swing price: $120. 6% evaluation target: $3,000. 4% maximum loss: $2,000

Account size: $100K. Day Trade price: $170. Swing price: $189. 6% evaluation target: $6,000. 4% maximum loss: $4,000

Account size: $150K. Day Trade price: $199. Swing price: $219. 6% evaluation target: $9,000. 4% maximum loss: $6,000

The Swing prices above were introduced alongside The5ers' summer offer, but The5ers subsequently stated that the reduced $25K and $50K pricing and the new $100K and $150K Swing accounts were permanent.

There is no activation fee after passing under the current futures programme, and The5ers states that the original evaluation fee is refunded after the trader successfully receives a third futures payout.

That makes the headline entry cost unusually attractive, but the sticker price should not be the only reason to choose an account.

Which The5ers Futures account offers the best value?

The $150K Day Trade account offers the lowest evaluation fee relative to its maximum-loss allowance, but it is not automatically the best choice.

The $199 evaluation fee provides a $6,000 maximum-loss allowance. The $25K account costs $59 and provides a $1,000 maximum-loss allowance.

The larger accounts have an additional restriction. The5ers applies a 2.5% daily drawdown limit to the $100K and $150K programmes, while the $25K and $50K accounts do not have that extra rule.

The $50K Day Trade account is therefore the best balance for most traders. It provides a $2,000 EOD maximum-loss allowance, a limit of four mini or 40 micro contracts and a $100 entry fee. It also avoids the additional daily drawdown rule on the larger accounts.

How does The5ers Futures evaluation work?

The standard futures evaluation requires a trader to generate 6% profit without violating the programme's risk rules.

For example, a $50,000 account requires:

  • $3,000 evaluation profit
  • Maximum EOD loss of $2,000
  • Compliance with the 40% consistency rule
  • Maximum position size of four mini or 40 micro contracts

The evaluation can be passed quickly if the target and rules are satisfied. The5ers explicitly advertises the ability to pass the Day Trade evaluation in one day.

That does not necessarily mean trying to pass in one session is sensible. The consistency rule can make a huge winning day counterproductive.

How does the 40% consistency rule work?

The5ers Futures requires your best trading day to represent no more than 40% of your total profits before you can qualify for a payout or scaling event.

The firm's August 2026 explanation uses this formula: Best Trading Day Profit ÷ Total Profit × 100 = Consistency Percentage

Suppose your largest trading day produces $1,500.

To bring that day down to exactly 40% of total profits: $1,500 ÷ 0.40 = $3,750

You would therefore need at least $3,750 in total profit before satisfying the rule.

Importantly, exceeding 40% does not automatically fail the account. You continue trading until total profits are high enough for the largest day to fall to 40% or below.

That distinction matters.

A trader who makes $2,000 in one exceptional session has not necessarily broken a rule. They may simply have moved their effective payout target higher.

Why the consistency rule matters more than the 6% target

The advertised evaluation target and your effective evaluation target can become different numbers.

Imagine a $50K account with a nominal $3,000 target.

If your biggest day is $2,000: $2,000 ÷ 0.40 = $5,000

You now need $5,000 total profit for that $2,000 day to represent 40%.

So although the account technically has a $3,000 evaluation target, one oversized winning session could force you to generate considerably more before meeting the consistency requirement.

For traders with highly asymmetric strategies that depend on a handful of large winning days, this is one of the biggest reasons to choose another futures prop firm.

Is The5ers Futures drawdown trailing?

The5ers Futures uses an end-of-day drawdown model on its current programmes rather than the more restrictive real-time intraday trailing drawdown used by some futures evaluations.

The standard maximum-loss limit is 4%.

EOD drawdown matters because an intraday profitable move does not continuously drag your loss threshold upwards while a position remains open. That generally gives discretionary traders more room to manage normal intraday volatility.

After a payout, The5ers recalculates the drawdown limit at 4% below the account's new post-withdrawal balance.

There is one important qualification. The current rules state that $100K and $150K accounts also have a 2.5% daily drawdown limit.

That makes the risk profile of the larger accounts materially different from the $25K and $50K options.

The Swing account is not simply a Day Trade account with unrestricted overnight exposure. Overnight contract limits are lower than the normal intraday limits, so traders should check the exact sizing allowed for their account before purchasing.

If you normally close everything before the session ends anyway, paying extra for Swing provides little value.

What can you trade with The5ers Futures?

The5ers Futures provides access to a broad range of futures markets including equity indices, currencies, metals, energy, agricultural products and cryptocurrency futures.

Examples include:

  • E-mini S&P 500 futures, ES
  • E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures, NQ
  • Micro E-mini S&P 500 futures, MES
  • Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures, MNQ
  • Dow Jones futures, YM
  • Russell 2000 futures, RTY
  • Gold futures, GC
  • Micro Gold futures, MGC
  • Crude Oil futures, CL
  • Euro FX futures, 6E
  • Bitcoin futures, BTC
  • Ethereum futures, ETH

The exact available instrument list can change, so traders should check the current specification before purchasing an evaluation.

What platform does The5ers Futures use?

BlackArrow is currently the only trading platform supported by The5ers Futures.

BlackArrow is accessible through Windows, macOS, web browsers, iOS and Android.

This is probably the programme's clearest product weakness.

If your workflow depends on NinjaTrader, Tradovate or another established futures platform, you cannot simply carry your existing setup across to The5ers Futures.

For traders who are platform-agnostic, that may be irrelevant. For someone with years of NinjaTrader templates, indicators, hotkeys and execution habits, it can be a legitimate reason to choose a competitor.

How do The5ers Futures payouts work?

The5ers Futures uses an 80/20 profit split, meaning the trader keeps 80% of eligible profits.

According to the current futures payout rules, the funded account must reach the required profit level and satisfy the programme conditions before a withdrawal can be requested. Payouts are available on a 14-day cycle.

The current maximum withdrawal amounts are:

  • $25K: $1,250
  • $50K: $1,500
  • $100K: $3,000
  • $150K: $4,500

The $25K account has a fixed $1,250 cap. Accounts from $50K to $150K are capped at 3% of the original account balance per withdrawal.

That is one of the most important details in this review.

A trader seeing "$150K funded account" should not interpret that as unlimited access to profits generated on a nominal $150,000 balance. The withdrawal rules determine how quickly those profits can actually be converted into cash.

Are there payout fees?

The5ers supports payouts through Rise, cryptocurrency, bank transfer and Hub Credits.

Rise, crypto and bank-transfer withdrawals currently carry a 3.5% commission. Hub Credits do not carry that percentage fee, but they cannot be withdrawn as cash.

When comparing The5ers with another futures prop firm, calculate the amount that reaches your account rather than comparing the advertised 80% split alone.

How does The5ers Futures scaling work?

The5ers Futures can scale funded accounts towards $500,000 in buying power.

At each 10% profit milestone, the programme increases buying power by 5% and raises the permitted position size by one mini or ten micro contracts.

For example, The5ers states that a $50K funded account reaching $5,000 in profit can receive an additional 5% in buying power, alongside the trader's share of profits after the 80/20 split.

This structure suits traders who want to build a longer-term funded relationship instead of repeatedly buying evaluations to pursue a first payout.

Is The5ers Futures legit?

The5ers is an established proprietary trading brand operated by Five Percent Online Ltd. Traders should still understand what they are buying.

Five Percent Online Ltd is identified on The5ers' website as a UK-registered company with company number 12553363.

The5ers also states that it is not a custodian, exchange, financial institution or broker. Trading through its Company Hub takes place in a simulated environment.

That distinction matters when people ask whether The5ers provides a "funded account". You are purchasing access to a proprietary-trading evaluation and reward programme, not depositing $100,000 into a personal brokerage account.

The wider The5ers brand has more than 37,000 Trustpilot reviews, with most rated positively. Recent verified reviews include reports of successful payouts. Negative reviews include complaints about payout verification and technical or execution issues. These reviews cover the wider The5ers operation, so they should not be treated as a futures-only performance dataset.

The available information supports the view that The5ers is an established operating business. Trustpilot volume does not replace reading the current futures rules before purchasing.

Who is The5ers Futures best for?

The5ers Futures is best suited to consistent discretionary traders who value EOD drawdown, modest evaluation fees and long-term scaling.

It makes particular sense for:

  • Intraday index traders using ES, NQ, MES or MNQ
  • Traders comfortable spreading profits across multiple sessions
  • Traders who prefer EOD drawdown to tighter real-time trailing models
  • Traders who want to scale rather than continually restart evaluations
  • Traders who do not need NinjaTrader or Tradovate

Traders who value a one-time evaluation cost rather than a recurring monthly fee

The5ers Futures is a weaker fit for:

  • Traders whose profitability comes from occasional outsized winning days
  • Traders wanting unrestricted large payouts immediately
  • Traders heavily dependent on a specific third-party trading platform
  • Very high-frequency strategies
  • Traders who regularly hold positions over weekends
  • Anyone unwilling to track consistency and payout rules carefully

Is the $25K or $50K The5ers Futures account better?

The $50K Day Trade account is the better all-round choice for most traders.

The $25K account is cheaper at $59, which makes it useful for testing BlackArrow and the programme rules with limited financial exposure.

The $50K account costs $100 but doubles the EOD maximum-loss allowance from $1,000 to $2,000 and increases the contract limit from two minis or 20 micros to four minis or 40 micros. It also avoids the additional 2.5% daily drawdown restriction that The5ers applies to the $100K and $150K tiers.

I would therefore choose:

$25K Day Trade: best for testing The5ers cheaply.

$50K Day Trade: best balance for most serious traders.

$100K or $150K Day Trade: best when additional buying power and contract capacity justify accepting the extra daily risk restriction.

Swing: only when overnight holding is genuinely part of the strategy.

The5ers Futures Review: Final Verdict

The5ers Futures is a good futures prop programme, particularly for traders who prioritise low evaluation costs, EOD drawdown and scaling.

Its $59 starting price gets attention, but the stronger reason to consider The5ers is the combination of a 4% end-of-day loss model, no current activation fee, an 80% profit split and a funded scaling route up to $500,000.

The programme is not automatically the best futures prop firm for everyone.

The 40% consistency rule changes the economics for traders with lumpy returns, the payout caps limit how quickly profits can be extracted, and BlackArrow-only execution will immediately rule it out for some experienced futures traders.

For a disciplined intraday trader comfortable with the platform, the $50K Day Trade evaluation is the strongest all-round The5ers Futures option. The $25K account is the sensible low-cost test. I would only jump to the $100K or $150K tiers when the additional contract capacity is actually needed because those accounts introduce another daily risk constraint.

In short: The5ers Futures is worth it for consistency-focused traders. It is much less compelling for home-run traders chasing fast, oversized payouts.

Programme rules and pricing checked against current The5ers documentation in September 2026. Futures prop-firm terms can change, so verify the live checkout and programme agreement before purchasing.
