Overview

Ment Funding is worth considering primarily for experienced Forex traders who want a one-step evaluation, static drawdown and no evaluation deadline. Its Forex programme is considerably more flexible than its Futures and Equities programmes, but the 10% profit target versus a 6% maximum-loss allowance makes the challenge relatively demanding.

The biggest issue to understand before buying is not the evaluation itself. It is what happens after your first payout. Ment Funding states that the maximum-loss floor then locks at the account's original starting balance. Withdrawing too much profit can therefore leave very little usable drawdown before the account breaches.

Our verdict: Ment Funding appears to be an established operating prop trading evaluation provider rather than an obvious fly-by-night firm, but it is not equally attractive across every product. The standard Forex accounts from $25,000 to $1 million are the standout option. Futures traders face a 33% consistency rule and evaluation deadline, while Equities traders face additional daily-profit, consistency and profitable-day requirements.

Ment Funding's current rules make an important distinction between its products. Claims such as "no consistency rule" and "no time limits" accurately describe the standard Forex programme, but they should not be assumed to apply universally to Futures and Equities.

Is Ment Funding legit?

Ment Funding has enough operating history and public evidence to be treated as an established prop firm, but "legit" should not be confused with regulated investment protection or guaranteed payouts.

Ment Funding says it has operated since 2021 and offers Forex, Futures and Equities evaluations. Its Trustpilot profile showed a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 231 reviews when checked in September 2026. Ninety percent of those ratings were five stars. Trustpilot also stated that the company had no recent history of actively asking customers for reviews.

Ment Funding says it has not refused a payout since 2021. That is a company statement, not an independently audited payout record.

The legal position is also important. Ment Funding's risk disclosure says it sells a proprietary trading evaluation service. It is not a broker, bank, investment adviser or fund. The disclosure also says that consumer and investor protections applying to regulated financial services may not apply to the evaluation service.

Treat Ment Funding as a paid prop evaluation service. Do not treat the account as equivalent to depositing money with a regulated broker.

How does Ment Funding work?

Ment Funding allows traders to purchase an evaluation account and demonstrate that they can hit the required profit target without breaching the firm's risk rules.

For the standard Forex programme, a trader must make 10% while remaining above a 6% static maximum-loss limit and inside a 5% daily-loss limit. There is no second evaluation phase, no minimum trading-day requirement and no maximum evaluation period.

That sounds simple, but the target-to-loss ratio matters.

On a $100,000 Forex account:

Starting balance
$100,000
Profit required to pass
$10,000
Maximum permitted total loss
$6,000

Daily loss limit at starting balance: $5,000

You therefore need to generate $10,000 of profit while your total permitted loss from the starting balance is only $6,000.

That 1.67:1 target-to-maximum-loss ratio is one of the most useful ways to judge the actual difficulty of the programme. A prop challenge should not be assessed from the profit target in isolation.

Ment Funding Forex review

Forex is the strongest Ment Funding programme.

The standard $25K to $1M Forex accounts combine a relatively uncomplicated rule set with features many experienced traders will value:

  • one-step evaluation
  • no evaluation deadline
  • no minimum trading days
  • 6% static maximum loss
  • 5% daily-loss limit
  • no standard consistency rule between $25K and $1M
  • EAs, hedging and scalping permitted

first payout request available from day one of the funded stage when eligible scaling available towards a $5 million maximum allocation

The standard profit split is 75%, not 90%. Ment Funding sells the 90% split as an optional checkout add-on. Accounts above $1 million also become less attractive because funded accounts starting above $1 million have a 35% consistency requirement, while the $2 million tier has a 2.5% daily profit cap.

This makes the $25K to $1M range the cleaner proposition.

Can you trade news with Ment Funding?

Yes. Forex traders can hold positions through news, but Ment Funding says they cannot open positions within three minutes before or after a restricted news event. Weekend holding requires the relevant checkout add-on.

Traders who enter directly into economic announcements should account for the three-minute restriction before buying. Finding it after purchase could make the account unsuitable for the strategy.

The Ment Funding payout rule you need to understand

The post-payout drawdown rule is the most important condition in the entire Ment Funding Forex programme.

During the evaluation, the Forex maximum loss is fixed at 6% below the starting balance. Once the first withdrawal is approved, however, Ment Funding states that the maximum-drawdown level locks at the original starting balance.

Consider a $100,000 account that reaches $120,000.

If $16,000 of account profit is withdrawn, the account balance falls to $104,000. The breach level is now $100,000, leaving only $4,000 of usable cushion.

If virtually all available profit were removed, the remaining balance could end up sitting directly on the breach threshold.

Ment Funding explicitly warns traders that taking a full withdrawal can forfeit the account.

This means payout optimisation and account survival are partially opposed to each other. A trader who intends to retain the funded account should consider the post-withdrawal balance, not merely the size of the payout.

Ment Funding Futures review

Ment Funding Futures is more restrictive than the Forex programme.

It has the same one-step structure, 10% profit target and 6% static maximum drawdown, but adds several conditions:

The 33% consistency rule means that no single trading day can account for more than 33% of total profit. It applies during the evaluation and again before payouts.

Ment Funding offers a 365-day evaluation option for the $400,000 account as a paid add-on. The evaluation timer disappears once the account reaches the funded stage.

Futures traders can trade the CME suite and hold positions through economic releases. They cannot hold positions over the weekend.

The difference between the products is significant. Forex traders get more freedom from time and consistency restrictions. Futures traders do not.

Ment Funding Equities review

Ment Funding's Equities programme has more rules than its Forex and Futures products.

Traders can choose between Static and Trailing accounts:

The programme also has a 3% daily profit cap. Reaching that cap pauses trading for the rest of the session rather than failing the account.

Before a payout, traders must record three profitable days with at least 0.5% profit on each day. Positions must also meet a one-minute minimum holding period.

The standard profit split is 80%. Traders can pay for a 90% split. Payouts can be requested every 14 days, with a $100 minimum.

The programme supports S&P 100 names and short selling. The relevant swing structure also allows overnight and weekend positions.

For traders specifically seeking funded US-equity exposure, Ment Funding may be worth comparing with alternatives. For anyone looking for the simplest Ment Funding evaluation, Forex is the better fit.

Ment Funding profit split and payouts

Ment Funding does not offer a 90% profit split as standard.

Forex and Futures start at a 75% trader share. Equities starts at 80%. The 90% share requires an additional paid option.

Forex traders can request their first withdrawal when eligible, without a long mandatory waiting period. Later requests follow 30-day payout cycles. Equities uses a 14-day cycle.

Ment Funding promotes its payout history and says every approved payout has cleared. Public reviews are also positive. Neither source provides an independent audit of every historical payout request.

The available evidence shows that traders have received payouts. It does not make future payouts guaranteed.

What company is behind Ment Funding?

Ment Funding states that it forms part of the Prop Account Group of Companies, which includes Prop Account, Dashboard Analytix, Forest Park FX LTD, Prop Account LLC and Prop Account Cayman, LC.

Its refund policy says funding assessments are provided by Prop Account, LLC, with assessment fees paid to that entity.

Its Terms of Service also state that successful traders may be allocated capital under an agreement with Prop Account, LC. The same Terms require disputes to be resolved through arbitration in Quebec under Quebec law.

There is one point prospective traders should clarify directly with Ment Funding before paying for a large evaluation.

The Terms of Service refer to successful traders being allocated capital to trade in a live account, while Ment Funding's current Risk Disclaimer says both the evaluation and subsequent funded phase are conducted in a simulated trading environment.

Those statements are not perfectly aligned. They may relate to different entities or account structures, but the public documents do not make that distinction sufficiently clear.

For most retail traders this may not alter how the programme is used, because payouts are ultimately what matter. For anyone specifically buying because they expect their orders to be executed as live proprietary capital, it is worth obtaining written clarification.

Does Ment Funding offer refunds?

No. Ment Funding says evaluation purchases are final and non-refundable.

The company describes the evaluation as a service delivered immediately after purchase. Its policy says purchased services cannot be refunded.

Read the rules for the specific account type before checking out.

Who should use Ment Funding?

Ment Funding is best suited to an experienced Forex trader with disciplined risk management who values time flexibility more than a wide drawdown allowance.

A trader who uses small position sizes and does not need to make a large percentage of the account in one session may find the standard Forex rules manageable.

The programme is less suitable for traders who:

Futures traders should compare Ment Funding with specialist futures firms. The 33% consistency rule and evaluation deadline change the product enough to make a direct comparison worthwhile.

Is Ment Funding a scam?

The available evidence does not justify calling Ment Funding a scam.

Ment Funding has operated under the brand since 2021, publishes detailed programme rules and legal documents, maintains active support channels, and had a 4.8/5 Trustpilot score across 231 reviews when checked in September 2026.

That is not the same as saying the service carries no risk.

Ment Funding itself states that its evaluation service does not receive the same protections as regulated financial services, that trading outcomes are not guaranteed and that purchases are non-refundable.

The better question is therefore not simply "Is Ment Funding legit?" It is whether the exact Ment Funding account rules fit your trading strategy well enough to justify the evaluation fee.

Is Ment Funding worth it?

For the right Forex trader, yes. Futures and Equities traders should compare alternatives before committing.

The Forex programme combines a one-step evaluation, no deadline, no minimum trading days and no standard consistency rule up to $1 million. Those conditions give experienced traders room to manage their approach without rushing to meet a time limit.

The main weakness is the risk structure. Making 10% while protecting a 6% total-loss allowance requires careful position sizing. The post-payout drawdown lock adds another decision: a large withdrawal can leave the account with little room to absorb a loss.

Ment Funding is a reasonable option for traders whose strategies already fit those limits. It is a weaker choice for traders who need a wider loss buffer, aggressive withdrawals or fewer restrictions around news and holding periods.

The rules should decide the purchase. The advertised account size and profit split should not.
