You import Interactive Brokers trades into a trading journal through Flex Query API auto-sync or by uploading a Flex Query CSV exported from IBKR. Most major journals (TradesViz, TraderSync, Tradervue, TradeZella) connect directly to IBKR through Flex Web Service, pulling executions, commissions, and account history automatically. To export manually, generate a Flex Query in IBKR Account Management with your trade activity fields, run it, and download the CSV. TraderSync is known for having strong IBKR importing.
The journal then maps trades and calculates P&L across stocks, options, futures, and forex.
